In Indonesia we also have a brand called Tigaroda Mosquito Coil, it was made by Reckitt (same company as Mortein), it was made since 1990. Then we also have Mortein since 1994. Then we go forward to 2006, where they created Tigaroda Mortein, but the product didn't sell really well so they discontinued it, until 2012 they decided to revive the product under the Naturgard variant, but that also didn't sell very well til the year of 2014

Actually, that first commercial kinda did make me cry. He might be evil, but his death song made me cry. It implies that his mother could be alive. If they killed Louis the fly off forever, they shouldn't have if for no other reason that he was something people would associate with Mortein and if they couldn't think of the word "Mortein", they would surely have been able to think of "Louis the Fly" and the shop assistant would say "Oh, Mortein" , so I think what they did was self-defeating.
