the fact that spider man teamed up with gears makes me want a small, possible minifigure of Spiderman to go along with the legacy figure of gears. cuz i think the best way for characters to collaborate with transformers is if they were made as minifigures. like human alliance.

I totally agree, it’s one of the best things about those GI Joe Transformers they’ve been doing! Thankfully, there’s a lot of really good options for a 3 3/4” Spidey, especially in the symbiote suit! I think the Retro one looks the best, but there’s also been several articulated ones!

I honestly wonder if it was ever planned as a different character. Like, a bat would make sense for Marvel characters like Morbius, Blade, Dracula, Cloak, and countless others. Hell, a bat would be ideal for a Daredevil figure. I wonder if they swapped to Spider-Man sometime after the transformation scheme was made.

To be fair, this isn’t the first time I was mistaken for a redditor 😂. Spectacular Spider-Man was so good! I’ll always have more personal nostalgia for the 90’s Spidey, but Spectacular was just the best it ever was! Especially their version of Goblin, I adored Blum as Norman Osborn. Also, you’re right. Airachnid had a pretty poor showing for toys when she was still a new character. Thankfully, she’s had some hits in the last few years!
