Tbh Kaito has an amazing voice bank, but not many people know how to tune him which is why he's so underrated. He's a high tenor/alto, but people strain his voice to be a "manly" baritone to duet better with miku, which is where the "Kermit effect" comes in. He's such a soft boy vocal, but people don't realize it and mess him up ;-;

I feel as if someone had read my thoughts lol But really the "problem" in this case is Miku Original, she hardly blends well with male voices that aren't high-pitched (I read it out there and I agree) so those who want them to sing together, they tend to distort Kaito's voice... Nevertheless, I love how Kaito Straight & Miku Solid and Kaito Soft & Miku Dark sound. Also, Crypton forced his accent with Kaito V3 English just like Miku V3 English, but they corrected it with Miku V4 English, however Kaito didn't receive an update because of Yamaha and... (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Yeah I feel like people always either tune him a bit too high (maybe bc they're used to tune girls) or try to make him too low/manly The Kermit effect mostly applies to his English VB, Japanese sounds fine to me

No, her voice sounds like he has the flu on acute, and nasal vocals on lower tones, but is hard to know how use correctly and on the right song for her voice, is not ugly.

As someone who learning how to turn both Kaitov1 and V3, I agree... It's very easy to mess up tuning, but when you get it right it's very rewarding to hear his voice at his full potential, but I like that his voicebank is a challenge to use because you get to apply that knowledge to other voices, it's why I don't use AI voices because I want the challenge and Kaito has such a huge potential for songs of all genres, he surprisingly works great with metal lol.

I had been waiting for this video for weeks! I'm so thrilled! Kaito is amazing, Naoto Fūga is amazing, and the creators that use this beautiful voice bank are amazing. I've been a fan of Kaito since 2012. I rode the school bus all throughout middle school, and drove to high school listening to this beautiful man. It's a shame his voice bank always flies under the radar. With "recent" songs like "Cantarella Grace Edition" and "Crescent Moon", you can really see the potential Kaito has as a voice bank. I can only hope he continues to get the love he deserves and people do not forget about him. I'm always thrilled to see him in Mitchie M productions! "Crescent Moon" was not on this list. It is easily my favorite Kaito song of all time. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to listen to it. The PV is stunning as well. Thanks for your hard work MarceCloud! Your videos are always a joy to watch, and they bring back so many memories.

Mei S I wholeheartedly agree with Crescent Moon! I was really disappointed it wasn’t on here, it came out around 2013 I believe. It was a masterpiece at the time. I was surprised at first cause I was so used to producer not fully using his voice to the full potential. I’m glad someone else understand Crescent Moon voice-bank wise

Today makes his 15th anniversary. Meiko, Kaito, Leon, Lola and Miriam were all the first vocaloids. Leon, Lola and Miriam (which you don't hear much about) were released with the American/English audiences in mind. Meiko and Kaito were specifically released for Japanese audiences and gained a lot of feedback and praise (sadly not as much Kaito cause the Japanese didn't like him as much) which influenced V2 hence Miku being born. : 3 So we owe it to the first gen for creating 2 and onwards.

From day one I got a real alpha male vibe from him, and it no surprise why. Whether V1 or V3, his voice is sharp and clear and he has a _terrific_ range. Going through this whole video, I found it truly remarkable how I found everything at minimum listenable, how consistently good the quality was. He's a real champ, a top dog, a powerhouse singing sensation for our time. If there's one regret I have with the way he's been handled, it's the duets. Aside from the occasional ensemble piece (Shoot on Tokyo! 😁), he almost never gets paired up with a Vocaloid who can complement his power and depth. There's a lot of stuff with Miku, Meiko, or occasionally Miki, Lily, or Luka, and the contrast is jarring. I want to see something with Gakupo, dangit! Or Kiyoteru, dangit! Or Yohioloid! I don't care what!

I’ll be remaking this video after I remake GUMI’s (a massive task since it’s 120 songs 😵) to have more songs and generally be better quality. Miku-Luka have already been remastered, while GUMI-Una on the playlist will be remastered at some point. I’ve gotten much better at research after having to do such obscure Vocaloids. I know I can do better for the biggest of Vocaloids and have. I’m looking forward to it tbh.
