he's been in some good live action movies too, try Men At Work from the 90's very funny [it's actually a Emelio Estivez & Charlie Sheen flick but Kieth steals the show, really fun movie IMO and has a mostly reggae soundtrack which is cool] Assault On Wall Street [it's directed by Uwe Boll but is actually a decent movie, plot is simple but works, there is more than enough reason for why the main character does the assault unlike most movies of this type] and those are the big standouts to me.... he was in Platoon [but the better Vietnam movies are Apocalypse Now & Full Metal Jacket] I'd say I grew up seeing some of Kieth's stuff and was glad to have him as Anderson in Mass Effect....

Last year I was watching the season two opening theme 'One thousand years ago, etc' and thought 'Keith David would make a great voice on Mass Effect' and went 'oh right' because I remembered he's one of the first voices you hear in the first ME game, Anderson (guy in the blue and gold military dress uniform in the bottom right of the video) has a conversation about Shepard with Admiral Hackett (Lance Henriksen) and Udina.

When I was a lad, my brothers put on Princess Mononoke for me. Of course we watched it in English, because I was at an age where I couldnt read subtitles and watch a movie, I musta been about 3 or 4. To this day, that movie is one of my all time favourites, but ever since I was a young lad, the voice of Lord Okkoto stuck with me. Probably my favourite voice acting performance in history, to the point where it inspired me 20 years later to get into radio and voice work. Keith David is a hero of mine, to be sure.

I really loved Final Fantasy DISSIDIA, perhaps my all time overall favourite game, but Keith's David's voice acting of Chaos' lines were the most memorable part. It was so powerful and striking, he brought life to that character in a way I can seldom describe. It is a shame the line in the video wasn't "At the end of the dream... Even Chaos... RIPPED ITSELF APART!!"

Disney originally wanted Patrick Stewart but his agent was asking for too much money. Apparently Patrick was wondering why he hadn't been asked to be on the show (because they'd cast a lot of his Star Trek TNG costars and they were talking about Gargoyles on the set of TNG) and wasn't happy when he found out his agent was the reason. I was sorry when I heard about his agent asking for too much money but was glad his agent didn't tell him when I learned they'd wanted him for Goliath (they also wanted him for Merlin if I remember correctly)
