Getting it for 39 dollar is nice but I want the fifine am8 in white. I like the black mic over the light up all over. But in usb it sounds worse than my tonor td510

Man, Maono PD100X looks sweet & should had been released like that in the first place. What I got from watching this review video (twice), the microphone comes off as Shure MV7+ (where XLR mode sound pretty good, but USB mode sound muffled). I still take FiFine AM8 over latest Maono microphone. Excellent video, Mr. Newman.

I think the AM8 sounds better out of the box, but the software with the Maono makes it easy to shape the sound, so it’s a tough call. My 14-year-old son uses the “bug zapper 5000” model, and he loves it in legacy mode. For the price, it easily delivers. What a time to be a budget mic collector (which I am)!

Got to be fair, in XLR its not bad, but if USB is not at least decent then I would rather get the Fifine K688 for just a little more and it works in both XLR and USB.... ok ok I am slightly biased since I have 2 K688's. But they work!!! For $38 I would rather get the K669D and have a desk weapon just in case someone tried any funny stuff while streaming or recording... just sayin, if you know, you know!

I don't think I can say anything that you didn't. I agree with you on the sound. I still don't like box mic though, just the look of it. It's a no for me.
