I once heard someone say, "Look at this shit, 13 pages of intro." I couldn't agree more with the comment below. I learn something new from every introduction, especially Neil's. I have also recently been introduced to the stories of Tad Williams, his Intros are also excellent. While absorbed in an interesting intro, I have had story ideas pop into my head which have nothing to do with the author's intro pages. So, I look at these pages as a lesson and inspiration. The author took the time to write it. I paid for the book and I want my full money's worth. I'm done now, honest.
