When fighting against Sin, you want to use HP rounds. Their "shield" doesn't count as armor, just straight damage reduction, and their armor itself is pretty weak. That's why the shrapenel round at 19:28 was that effective.

@@VolinRabah Nah, the reason HP does more damage against Sin is because they have less armor, so the HP rounds get the most damage output. AP rounds are only good against armored targets, because the damage actually penetrates through the armor instead of FMJ/HP that just bounces off higher armors. Has nothing to do with the ammo caliber and all about the typing. Plus, higher penetration ammunition is actually weaker against lightly armored opponents.

This was such a great run. Looking forward to the next one. Picked up two (different? they sit separately in inventory fsr) FNX pistols during my run last night. Anxious to see how they do. Your real one looks great! Big laugh when your dog made you jump. I can relate. Sound in this game is done well enough that I frequently mistake real sounds outside for game sounds and vice versa. If you want to get some upgrade kits for guns/armor, try disassembling weapons that have an arrow symbol indicating it is upgraded, there is a small chance you can get an upgrade kit, very useful for saving money! Really enjoying the runs, like seeing you improve and find new stuff!

Sin guys have shields (like what a Burer uses) that allow them to tank a lot of gunfire. You can see the first few rounds that hit them sparking off of it. I've always wanted to do a Sin play through to see if my character gets the shield as well.

the AN-94 is actually one of the best rifles in GAMMA, with the hyperburst being able to one-click kill exosuit SIN using FMJ, and with how common 5.45 is, that makes it a very good lategame weapon with the only downside being lack of suppressor.

Why buy an acog, that scope from Gail is adjustable 1-8x and would fit just fine - I think. Unless you prefer an acog that is. I love this run don't end it please. Get a Knot artifact and sign a pact with the devil ;) and let's see how will that go :D

it might be too late to say remind this, but carrying around your gunsmithing kit which is 0.5 kg is decent idea, there you can break down all the ammo you don't need from your stash and carry them with you as ammo parts which in turn makes them significantly lighter

idea for upcoming series, there's a questline named mysteries of the zone I think, go to the swamp at the start and kill the doc once start, loot him and you'll get the quest. so incase you haven't done it, just a heads up, it can get buggy towards the end

34:22 oh yeah, that's classic issue with Taskboard no matter which mod - it can scramble and mix descriptions with different tasks. Quite annoying, but still beats walking around for tasks. Seems like there's some kind of "zergrush" script (same with Bandits base in Dark Valley and maybe other bases) working in Red Forest near Sin base - never liked that part of the mods. Makes any combat activity in some maps almost out of question unless you have some time to spare and plenty of ammo. I understand dropping the run - I play a lot of STALKER and mods for it and frequently drop the runs before finishing them. Because final parts are... not great.

Got the chimera hunter tor the first time in my current playthrough. Was honestly dissaponted with the performance against mutants. A full auto hydrashock is just better honesty. But the slugs are INSANE agunst stalkers. Really didn't expect that out of a gun called the chinera hunter.
