@@finecountryleamingtonspa2283 The charm and beauty of the stunning facade is destroyed by a tasteless, banal, bland, ignorant and coward interior. It is like an hawaiian pizza or a carbonara with cream. Why anyone want to live in an historical building whose history has been completely cancelled? I have seen tons of similar renovations in England: it seems the English have bartered their architectural history with the easy profit of the real estate market. My uncle Giancarlo Menotti owned Yester House ( Gifford - East Lothian ) for several years and he renovate and furnished the house savings every original details. The Queen Mother and Prince Charles both visited him and stayed at Yester. They loved the house. As my uncle I am Italian and I cry every time a see a beautiful thing ruined by the human stupidity.

Well I know Camillo bursts into a bucket of tears when seeing this home video😭but as for myself, yes there’s no charm no old fashioned interiors but it’s modern and a lot of Americans would enjoy this because it is definitively ultra modern chic! Would I prefer it to have more charm yes I would but eh this is what some families like they like to entertain have parties and the new shiny interiors fits in well with an upper class wealthy family because it’s move in ready lots of room to show off to friends and family! It’s quite spacious and grand exterior so eh why not? A lot of older homes which keep their interiors older, they require upkeep, they don’t always come with modern conveniences and their internal structure needs a lot of updating which is costly!
