Every time I search for Charles Darwin, Dan Dennett pops up, coincidence?

Does anyone know where I can read more on Dennett's conception of what is pain (as we hear at 1:21:00)?

Yes his book *Kinds of Minds* where he distinguishes between *sense* and *sensation*. Luckily you can hear it in entirety on KZbin here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmalmKp_hNOXl9E

I would like to hear his hour-long good answer, because it's really the crux of the thing, and his answer here is a total cop out.

I think Dennett has a paper (freely accessible) on machines and pain.

Oh God. The melanoma skin spots on the top of his head have greatly multiplied. Dude needs to stop hating God and snickering at religious people.

Explain how one can hate what one does not think exists?
@rasmith_993 жыл бұрын
@@corydorastube thats actually your job to explain it. The 4 horseman clearly hate God. So start explaining.

@@rasmith_99 You are the one making the claim Burden of proof is all yours. That is a problem for theists though. They seem to develop slopey shoulder disease when asked to prove the crap they believe is true.
@rasmith_993 жыл бұрын
@@corydorastube actually the burden of proof is on you. You say there is no hot, so let’s see the evidence. To date Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris and Dennett have given none. So you have quite a lot of work to do.

@@rasmith_99 I can't speak for Dennet, Hitchens, Dawkins or Harris. I can only speak for myself. I do not believe the God of the Bible exists any more than I believe that Shiva of the Bhagavad Gita exists, or that Ahura Mazda of the Zoroastrians exists or the Tirthankara of the Jains exists. Just as I do not believe in the Yeti, Bigfoot, leprechauns, fairies, ghosts, goblins, pixies or any other supernatural entity. They may exist, who knows? The problem is that those who claim they exist or claim to know that they exist only have words and arguments but no evidence. If you have evidence then please present it. Do not say "look at the trees, look at the birds". Those are the same arguments that my Hindu friends make for Shiva.
