WELCOME to the documentary series "The Marginalized" . This series presents an open and frank discussion of populations in America that are considered inferior or beneath us. This is an analysis of the conscious and unconscious treatment of these populations by our nation and by those who
hold the power.
Working While Black: Will African Americans ever obtain equal pay in the workplace?
The first installment of CAN TV's new docuseries, The Marginalized, examines the
systems and beliefs that continue to deny Black people parity in the American
workforce. Working While Black examines the historic drivers of inequity; the oft
unspoken hierarchy known as the American caste system, a system that 'castes'
Black people as inferior to the ruling class. A difficult conversation to be sure, but a
conversation well-worthy having, and one the viewer won't soon forget.

Blacks need to figure out how to own their own successful businesses is one way to change the system. P. S. Govt/state jobs or public service positions typically have unrestricted access to everyone’s salary. I used it to my advantage in asking for a raise. I was asked WHY I wanted a raise? I provided proof of educational attainment, and value added services I provided to the organization and was given a substantial increase and more high profile assignments But NO PROMOTION to a higher position. Bottom line, sometimes it helps to ask for what you know you deserve based on merit and your value to the company in the area of your earnings compared to your white co-workers salary. In closing, I eventually left the company due to no career growth. The salary increases boosted my earnings in getting more money at the new job/career. Best wishes!

The problem with DEI is this. 2:21 D - Diversity just means if there is a black person in the group as in big corporate work space or TV commercials, it’s “diverse” enough. Forget Asians Hispanics LGBTQ Arabs, Handicaps etc. as long as the blacks are satisfied, because they are where they believe they should be, there are no protests. Equality - mudded with Diversity. As long as you’re black, never mind your qualifications, you’re hired. United Airlines would hire you as a pilot. Just be black, then your qualifications are automatically equal to everyone else who is not black. Inclusion-forget the academic qualifications of Whites and Asians. Universities MUST have a place for blacks no matter the entrance test results. DEI: It’s supposed to support all races and gender and sexuality. But somehow it seems to be focused on black advantage.

If you want support for your race go fight for it like black people did. We are not your savior. We don't NEED to fight for other races to have equality, though I support when we do. However, be mad at white supremacy not black people. Most of all blame yourself for not standing up for your race and expecting black people to lift everyone up...chattel slavery in America has ended.

if this was an assignment, you would get an F. The main benefactor of DEI programs and white women. Recruiting efforts start with education and experience. there are concerted efforts to FIND candidates to apply and if there are better candidates, the job still goes to that person. Problem is so many bigots and ignorant people are so... idk if its jealousy, envy or what but they cannot STAND a black person being better 😂. like its unfathomable to them and it's a weird sick illness that has to be resolved. Meanwhile, the main benefactor of DEI, not black women... not women of color... not people of color, but white women are doing big things. snatching jobs and titles and everyone is okay. DEI extends to various forms of ascribed status. Stop being ignorant and assuming it's only black people. The program would not exist if it was only black people. america doesnt do black only anything

That’s not the case across the board and you know it. Have you ever considered that black people are the only minority group that consistently fights for equity and our rights? What’s stopping other minority groups from doing the same for themselves?
