Strangely I was one of 6 people who remembered them this year at the memorial. You will always have a peaceful picnic up there.

I sympatise with the Sussex Protestants. I honour the Protestant Martyrs when I travel down to Sussex every November. I consider how it must have felt to be in their shoes. How would it have felt to be in prison...and to have known you were soon going to be burnt at the stake?? And yet, even though they faced such an awful death, they refused to change their beliefs. They were heroes and I admire them. I feel that Protestantism was a great step forward, but also feel that hatred against Catholics is wrong. In the past England was a Catholic country...so ALL of us Protestants are descended from Catholics!! It is WRONG to hate Cathoilcs. Christ does not hate them...nor should we. Protestants have also done great sins throughout history, but not to the same degree as catholics. i think we should celebrate the good in religions, not the bad.

She was an interesting individual, pushed away by her father, Henry 8th and misunderstood by Victorian historians. Worth a read for sure.

For me the narration disgusting. Because at about 3:07 showing faithfulness as being folly. That is expressly negative virtue.
