My theory on this game: The company that made it actually just designed a generic racer called speedstorm, but they couldn't get anybody to publish it due to market saturation or, yaknow a general lack of identity for the game. The developers thought shit, what are we gonna do? Then some bright spark thought I know, we will pitch this game as a platform! Just swap in some models of your racers and we will sell you the entire thing. Thus, disney speedstorm was born. This would kind of explain why all the karts are so generic, why the levels seem generic etc.

This game is baffling. Why is there a slowdown every time you hit someone and why is there a killfeed? Why are there grind rails and why are the cars so big? Why does this game pretend to have multiplayer names in the single player yet tell you that you unlocked the multiplayer mode? I can't even tell if there's a bullet bill or blue shell in this to make a comeback because it seems like everyone has their own individual item boxes so Donald Duck can just use his fire move to spread fire all over the field which is like half a starman, or use his invisible move which is the other half of the starman.

Kind of obsessed with how mediocre that opening cinematic was. The lifeless pulsating dubstep with one orchestra bit. They shoot like one item and Sully dodges it by moving one inch. All they do is make faces and noises. There's not even good driving. Mickey doesn't blow up, he just gently trips against a bump in the road. Lightning McQueen isn't here and neither is his penis.

From the cars to the character designs (regarding their outfits) to the animations and voice lines it all looks very soulless, and while the levels look nice visually speaking, their design in terms of gameplay seems to be very generic.
