I find it funny you predicted Super Mario Bros Super Show would be referenced in the Mario Movie in the first video. It’s like Nintendo saw your video and knew what they had to do. I also love how Rainbow Road in the movie is portrayed as Mario Kart fans see the stage: a Deathtrack, homocidal, deadly, nuclear test sight with no mercy from Bullet bills, Blue shells, and red/green shells. I hope we see King K Rool in a giant mech suit in the Donkey Kong movie.

The revealed trailers just made me crying about the scenes where peach said something strength and the anniversary and Mario just had beautiful blue eyes like during the of the Mario breaking blocks with his bare hands.

Yeah from a certain perspective it seems like the Super Mario Movie actually wants to be more of a Mario Video Game movie, a little unlike others with I guess some exceptions like the Resident Evil cg/motion capture movies or debately the Ratchet & Clank movie. For me as someone who isn't much of a Mario Fan the movie does look promising and interesting, and I'll check it out when it releases in theaters, Either way great video and I'll be looking forward to watching your review of your own thoughts on Sonic Frontiers. Oh and by the way, will you also be making a video on your thoughts about Sonic Prime? i'd be genieuly interested in how you feel about that compared to Movie Paramount Sonic.

Thanks! And yep, I'm fully intending to cover Prime eventually, though I doubt that'll be anytime soon, considering they seem to want to split it into 3 seasons across all of next year. But either way I do plan on eventually covering it yes. I haven't spoken on any of the trailers yet because I genuinely have no idea how I feel about it, and I don't want to just chuck out a video for the sake of covering Prime, I'd like to wait until I've processed the full show and have an actual concrete opinion. I remember when this was first rumored to be happening I was skeptical about Illumination being in charge. But after the original first trailer came out I knew they had put so much love and care into this project, more so when the second trailer came out. I MEAN COME ON SONIC!!! They nailed this thing in the trailer alone. Sonic is on its second movie and only contains 4 CGI characters (3 if you exclude Shadow) It’s just gonna be hard to to0 this movie, this is a true blessing for mario fans.

I completely agree, I never thought Charles' voice as-is would work for a full-length movie. People's problems stem from the fact that Chris doesn't seem to be doing... any kind of voice, Brooklyn or Italian. Though we're not too sure on that one, the "Mushroom Kingdom" clip seemed to show off a light Brooklyn accent, but even then it seems wildly inconsistent; one of the things I don't think we'll have a full grasp on until the movie actually releases. Still I think it's fair to be a bit annoyed at one of the most famous cartoons in the world not having any kind of cartoon voice, feels like a disservice to the character.

Oh no they absolutely do still count, I just can't really comment on those movies as adaptations because I never got invested in Angry Birds to any degree. Same reason I don't bring up Detective Pikachu much at all.

This movie looks amazing and has literally everything! Well.. except for two notable people missing, Wario and Waluigi. I know they probably won’t be able to fit into the story being told here but I just hope that there’s some sort of setup for them in a sequel. Oh yeah Bowser Jr and the Koopalings too

The one time you bring up Detective Pikachu They used like one or two pop songs they still had music from the franchise like the original theme and other game music So 5:44 L example Detective pikachu had pokemon music in the trailer tho It was incredibly respectful of the source material L example

I feel like you're a bit too hard on the Sonic movies. They set out to do different things. While I agree they probably should've been fully animated from the start as well, I do enjoy the blend of live action. Once they realized they had something big with the first movie's success, it seems like they're taking it more seriously now. And while I agree it'd be nicer if more characters were introduced quickly, it's more important to properly utilize all of the characters whithin a given story, because I feel like some characters in the Mario movie may be underutilized. I'm hopeful Sonic 3 goes all in on the game stuff though, for sure. From the characters, to setting and music. Because it seems like the Mario movie may be taking notes on what not to do with Sonic's weaker elements. I'd still say Sonic 2 was the first genuinely great video game movie though, wedding scenes and all.
