Warhammer is just a masterclass in what bad parenting does to people, while erebus was already a bit of a psycho all it took was his mother constantly comparing him to someone else for him to fall off the deep end

That would truly be a just reward for him. But seems to me that he knows where he needs to stop. To just reach just close enough to attract the gaze but never the full attention of any one Chaos God or however it works with Undivided

​@marcuswanha9723 Yeah, it makes no sense that even unnamed legionaries could become daemon princes but not Erebus or Kor Phaeron! There has to be a drawback to this immortality other than just being a puppet of chaos. Yet again, even if primarchs became daemon princes through need or deceit (perturabo, angron, mortarion etc) Lorgar and Fulgrim chose to be. Is there a missing piece here or did I get something wrong ?

@@diadiamichamichatv5454 so as far as I know there is no other downside to being made a daemon prince other than the high high risk of being a chaos spawn and losing control of your free will when you become the daemon prince. Erebus and Kor are probably the most knowledgeable about chaos than any other still fully mortal being. Thus know the limits and don't want to go that far. Of course in reality the main reason these two haven't become a daemon prince is due to plot armor of a sorts. The writers/GW don't want them to lose what makes them them
