Incredible find! Clearly a snapshot of the song half way through it's evolution from the original version of the tune they recorded w/ Blake Fleming in '01 (which had a much slower/creepier tempo & a totally different, shout-y, almost ATDI like chorus) & the finished album version from 03'

It isn't. "Summer demo sessions" was just an unmastered early mix of the album (de-loused) that leaked... This was just made available to the world about a month ago & is from an entirely different set of sessions from 02'

WOW! that's like, the fourth version of Cicatriz I'm aware of, seems like a Landscape Tantrums demo, which is strange to not see it included, but either, such a cool arrangement, I wonder if Rubin had something to do with the changes on this song.

Yeah, not sure exactly how they were leaked or where they were found, but apparently an unmastered version of the entire landscape tantrums sessions surfaced, which included this AND a pretty incredible sounding version of "A Plague Upon your Hissing Children" with a different arrangement than the 2003 Rick Ruben version they released with the box set...

Oh, & as for Rubin's involvement, it's entirely possible. He heavily influenced the arrangements of Intertiatic, Roulette Dares, Concertina & Eunuch. All the parts were there obviously, but the order & length of them differed in live versions of those songs before & after their time in the mansion w/ him
