Still here in 2020 from the depths of quarantine. I'm so thankful for the art this group of individuals created. They will never know the joy and creative energy that they brought into my life. I know I'll probably never get to see them live again; and I must admit I'm still salty that we never got that live DVD that Omar always mentioned they were filming, but the memories and experiences will stay with me always. I've never seen or heard anything like The Mars Volta, and even after listening to their songs 100+ times over the years I'm still hearing new things in the layers of music. I would definitely choose this band's catalog of albums to take on a deserted island. I will never get sick of their unique blend of styles and raw energy. RIP Ikey RIP Jeremy I was so thankful to hear that Juan is still with us and recovering. THANK YOU to anyone that played a part in this group over the years, you honestly changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Take care.
