Clever Metaphor this happened to me but with Coheed's Silent Earth 3. A local radio station gave it to me and I hated every song except "Favor House Atlantic". Thankfully I forced myself throughout that year to listen to the whole thing.

@@sentientcardboarddumpster7900 I had this one. Thought the cover looked cool but maybe listened to like 1/2 a song before I put it back in the case. Then one night my Mom went to some sporting event at the high school or something I decided to stay in the car and got bored. It was the only cd in the car so I just popped it in and listened to the whole thing. I ended up loving it! Lol

Still here in 2020 from the depths of quarantine. I'm so thankful for the art this group of individuals created. They will never know the joy and creative energy that they brought into my life. I know I'll probably never get to see them live again; and I must admit I'm still salty that we never got that live DVD that Omar always mentioned they were filming, but the memories and experiences will stay with me always. I've never seen or heard anything like The Mars Volta, and even after listening to their songs 100+ times over the years I'm still hearing new things in the layers of music. I would definitely choose this band's catalog of albums to take on a deserted island. I will never get sick of their unique blend of styles and raw energy. RIP Ikey RIP Jeremy I was so thankful to hear that Juan is still with us and recovering. THANK YOU to anyone that played a part in this group over the years, you honestly changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Take care.

Do you remember how you wore that dress? It slit my sight beneath the eyelids Do you remember what you said to me? What course has given you the right to stray? And in your living tomb I'm stuck but safe The clocks are ticking fast with every breath Since we've been wrong I've been part awake Since we've been wrong You will never ever know me What took you so long? I'm not sure all the way But my heart it asks just one more time Are you still a mess? One day a rain will come to wash away The earth that held us was no island I have become ingrown inside this skin I'll find a way out through those eyelids When all the days become a castaway I seem to think I don't belong here Since we've been wrong I've been part awake Since we've been wrong You will never ever know me What took you so long? I'm not sure all the way But my heart it asks just one more time Are you still a mess? I don't belong here, I shouldn't stay What falls inside me grows empty The walls between us will never break Just seal it shut, it grows empty Since we've been wrong I've been part awake Since we've been wrong You will never ever know me What took you so long? I'm not sure all the way Since we've been wrong I've been part awake Since we've been wrong You will never ever know me What took you so long?
