Tonight I stumbled across your podcast and I listened to three episodes: Robert Walker, Zachary Scott, and Mary Astor. I’m in heaven! ❤❤❤. Love your podcasts and love movies from the golden era! When I saw Robert Walker’s face, I immediately stopped flipping channels and knew I’d found my favorite channel! Looking forward to more podcasts! Shirley Wilcox from Holly Lake Ranch, Texas

Was it on an episode of The Twilight Zone ? I forget the name of the episode though.Or was it Boris Karloff's Thriller TV series ? I loved this podcast by the way.

I am in shock that Steve is surprised that George S. Kaufman worked with the Marx Brothers. My first exposure to Kaufman was his connection to the Marxes. He and Morrie Ryskind wrote two Broadway hits for the brothers that became their first two movies. He then was signed by Thalberg to write their first two MGM films. Kaufman is also alleged to have stopped a conversation with someone during a Marx stage appearance to exclaim, “Wait! I think I just heard one of the original lines!”

That early photo you showed first looked just like Lillian Gish.
