This is a short throw laser projector. Pretty fun tech. Much more preferred than led options, it gives richer blacks as it can turn of those areas. Love they added the screen part, that’s more better than using direct walls painted black. Nice!

I bought VAVA CHROMA year ago & f*n loving it very good Projector got it on launch day GOT freaking GREAT price on it with 120" VAVA ALR screen under 3 grand promotion deal , ALSO Hisense or this L9 Series is good brand love their TVS like U8K model 2 & I HAVE ONE....since i got my VAVA CHROMA not gonna buy TV anymore for my living room & never will , just up graded with new one in future , loving these short throw 4k Projectors is BEST bang for ur money & getting a HUGE screen with it

The screen filters light coming from above. It’s actually ribbed and makes the image even better even though there is ambient light.

But it is a just projector, even if one of the better ones out there.... And it does not project the lasers directly, it's all bounced by a DLP mirrors chip, just like in any other typical projector.
