I watched this movie a few weeks ago. It deserves all the praises it got and more. This song fits very nicely with the movie, thanks to both the lyrics and the overall feelings it invokes in me when I listen to it. I remember when I watched Three Billboards, they used that music in the best scene of the movie and I immediately started listening to it over and over again. It's that good. Your editing is top notch. Thank you for making this video!

The Master (2012 d. Paul Thomas Anderson) arguably the best American film of the century so far (though Anderson could lay claim to that accolade with his earlier "There Will Be Blood" from 2007). The Master is a meditation on the effects of PTSD and the embrace of cultism in the absence of professional rehabilitation, The main character, Freddy Quell (Joaquin Pheonix-giving his very best performance) is a WWII veteran suffering from severe PTSD and raging forms of alcoholism and sex addiction. And, as in so many cases of this during that period, many latched on to suicidal tendencies or, as in the film, cults that seemed to give them the answers they sought to quell (pardon the pun) their never ending mental torment. Quell accidentally falls into company with Lancaster Dodd (Phillip Seymour Hoffman, in what could compete with his turn in "Capote" as his finest work), the leader of a cult called "The Cause". Freddy is immediately drawn to Dodd's father-like affection, and Dodd to Quell''s moldable submission. However, the more Freddy becomes tethered to "The Cause" and Dodd, the crazier his aggressions become, And, it all comes to a head when Freddy begins to understand that Dodd may not be the all-knowing "master" he makes himself out to be, and to be to his followers. I won't lie. The Master is not an easy film to sit through. It's not an "entertainment' in the classic sense of fun. The film is deeply explorative work about the facades against humanity for material advantage, and the preying on the weak in times of need. Its a beautifully ugly film that ponders alot of todays big issues through a microscopic look back at a time in history when alot of this first started (though, PTSD has been alive with every war or tragedy in history). Anderson is the most gifted director/writer of his generation. At the time i write this, he's made about 10 films,-all of which can be called masterpieces of a type. "The Master," though, as he has said in interview, is his favorite of all the films he's made so far. It might be my favorite as well (though it's hard to get around "There Will Be Blood" and that titanic performance by Daniel Day-Lewis). Simply put, Anderson is the most electrifying and exciting "young" (hes, I think 54?) director working in the states. He hasn't given us a dud yet.

@@dennispolifroni9925 Thank you for everything you brought with your reply. An extraordinary film , but I believe the difficulties of watching this film are what makes us grow and helps us heal !
