Yes, when in the process to put on sunscreen...and if that differs between using liquid or powder foundation...thank you.

Sunscreen, as a rule, should always be the last step of skincare or skin prep. Otherwise you are affecting the effectiveness of your sunscreen. So the last thing before you use your foundation. For oily skin, sunscreen might give enough moisture so moisturizer might not be necessary. As someone with dry skin I need both. Between every skincare step I give every product the time to sink into the skin. Hope this helps! 🤗

The Garnier SP50+ Face Fluid is semi matte and very light - absorbs rapid. And no white cast - apply after moisturiser

Finally someone is talking about skin prep the most over looked topic. I have dry to combo skin and I m struggling to keep my makeup on my face intact more moisturizer doesn’t work foundation break apart after few hours less moisturizer doesn’t work either feel so dry after few hours. Radiant foundation doesn’t stay long matte foundation inhance each and every lines of the face . I will so much appreciateif you could address all these issues .

I remember in my 20’s reading Face Forward by Kevyn Aucoin and he said always moisturize before you put foundation on. (I don’t think ppl were using a lot of primers then.) I’ve tried to always remember to do that-especially in my mid 40’s now. Where does the time go? But These updated tips are greatly appreciated.♥️

Thank you for this how-to on such an important step! I've got a question: what about for "mature" dry skin? I don't need all that much color correction, so a light coat of foundation is usually enough for me (and thank you so much for your very thorough tutorials on how to apply it -- made a 1,000% difference!!) , but my skin tends to be dry despite taking pretty good care of it. Should I just use more moisturizer under the foundation? Happy New Year!

Does sunscreen count as moisturizer? I use moisturizer and apply sunscreen on top usually. The sunscreen has a green tint and it helps hide redness. It’s my favorite! I couldn’t skip it.

This is really helpful to know, when to use a primer or not to! I find too many products and I get 'pilling', which I hate and you have to figure out how to get rid of that before you can even move on to anything else.

Since we have to wear masks in my country I use matifying primer with my full cover foundation and I set my primer with a light powder first as well. I have to cake my foundation though cause I have extreme redness all over.

Love it! But where does the sunscreen come in. I find it's hard to apply foundation on after. I have 4 to 5 sunscreens trying to find the best way to use one or them. Trial-and-error.

Do u think u could possibly do a tutorial on a fat face? Once I got clean n sober (6yrs now) I've gained a LOT of weight. I can't seem to lose it. Thanks, Wayne! I love the idea of a masterclass series with you. Once before you did a brill video of how to ensure foundation doesn’t rub off nose. I would love to have some tips for how to keep eyeshadow and eyeliner on (esp waterline), what kinds of formulations and primers are best for dry eyelids, oily eyelids. I have super dry 58-y-o skin but my eyelids feel moister than my face, but I think it might just be because I have sensitive, watery eyes. Can you help to differentiate?
