We have found a fantastic math curriculum that works well for us. We really are not interested in changing, yet we also want to be "team players" and make sure my son can participate in weekly discussions. Do you have any recommendations of how we would do that without doubling our math work each week?

My understanding is that the ChA director will be introducing each week's concept on community day. So the students will not have already done that week's work, she is introducing it that day. Basically the opposite of how the other strands are taught. So I think your student can still participate fully with the discussion, he's just not following up at home. 🤔 I think!

We’ve started memorizing the notations flash cards at your recommendation. Does my student need to know all of the words on the cards (ie: Ellipsis intermediate values; infinite patterns) or should we aim for the main words first (ie Ellipsis)? Also, is there a recommended order to memorize them in? Thank you for your helpful & concise video on the math map!

For a starter, you do not need to memorize all the words. Think of it like your three tours through essentials. The first year, you focus on memorizing just the basic titles, then your second year, you add more to that peg, and your third year, you memorize it all.

Tone gets lost in text, so I hope I don't come off like a b****h, but, friend, you gotta do something about your lighting if you are going to make more like these! You're glasses are so cute, don't lose those, but change positions/or use a window etc. or something besides the crazy rings getting caught in your glasses.

Girl! I know right! I have watched so many videos trying to fix it. However, I do almost all my videos at night, so I need a light, and my glasses seem to reflect everything. So I just said, it is what it is. 🤣 But you're motivating me, I might look into it again.

@@ericalynnhomeschoolmom Put your light off to the side and raise your camera up a little higher so it's looking slightly down at you. Play around until you find just the right spot!
