Dallas has to be my favorite to get to the NBA Finals now. I initially had the Clippers over the Nuggets and I don’t believe in Minnesota or Oklahoma in the Playoffs, but now with Dallas having more depth, size, and versatility to surround Kyrie and Luka on a playoff run they will be terrifying to face in a playoff matchup.

NIco did his job and it was a fantastic one! He understands what the team needs and the Mavericks have now two players that are off ball that can move a lot and make shots from the get go or lobs from their ball handlers. PJ shoots well from the 3, can take the ball to the rim and defends 3s and 4s while Daniel does his job low post, rebounding, dunks and blocks shots! Team's getting better...

Arguably the most boring trade deadline in recent memory. But my bets on a Knicks vs. Clippers or Lakers Finals are starting to look smarter after their trade for Bojan rescuing him out of Detroit. Great upgrade for the Knicks. They need more offensive firepower and he’ll do. OG and Bojan are nice pickups by the Knicks this season. Top 3 in the East is shaping up to be Celtics, Cavaliers, and then Knicks while Bucks and Sixers are fading fast. I’m not sure Beverley will help the Bucks by this point but at least he’s worked with Doc before. Pat is turning 36 this year. He’s a bit washed and a lot of his defense comes from fouling and then talking smack. PatBev is not as useful as he was a few years ago. Hence, why he’s been on the Clippers, TWolves, Lakers, Bulls, Sixers, and Bucks in a span of 3 years. This would’ve been a good trade if Jrue was still on the team and this was done maybe two years ago. You really think Doc will play Dame and Pat at the same time? Dame is 6’2 and Pat is 6’1. No. And Dame is a poor defender while Pat is a poor offensive player, so it doesn’t balance out when they’re both on the floor because they’re both short and play the same position. Bucks trading for Beverley smells like the stink from GM Doc. We know Doc is even worse as a GM than as a head coach which is saying a lot because he’s the GOAT coach for historic playoff losses. Skap Attack even put it on his thumbnail in all caps when talking Doc Rivers: LOSER Who will the Bucks get next? Austin Rivers? Then Doc will extend him with a $35M contract when Austin only deserves a G League salary. Doc’s GM history stinks more than his playoff coaching career. Dude only leaves behind STANK!

He’s an average defender but he’s actually been solid this season, he has good lateral quickness, and is a ok screen navigator but the most impressive thing to me is his active hands and how he always seems to strip the ball even when he’s mismatched on a big player.

This Mavs fan says we lost because we cut bait on Williams the first time he hit a shooting slump, and we're still sitting here with Maxi. Williams for PJ is a sideways move... they're the same player, contracts are close (12 mil to a front loaded 16 that dips to 14.5 the final year).... we didn't get "better" at the 4, we made a sideways move and quit on a guy in a shooting slump.

On the other hand, Maxi is on a similar contract (first year, 11 mil per year, 3 years deal... all 3 guys are in first year of 3). But Maxi is SOFT. Maxi is a mental midget. Maxi goes cold shooting, or gets beat on the defensive end two or three times, and he quits. He passes up open looks. He hangs out in the backcourt leaving the Mavs playing down a man offensively. I noticed it in the WCF against the Ws. Kuminga went off on him in the 3rd quarter, and Maxi spent the rest of the game hiding. Throwing passes into the third row because he doesn't want the ball anywhere near him. I get shooting slumps, and those are mostly excusable. Guys are going to go through a stretch or 2 where they just can't buy a bucket. The difference between Williams and Maxi is Williams keeps going. He tries to shoot his way out of it. He keeps giving positive effort on the defensive end. He sticks to the script and helps his teammates in any other way he can. Maxi quits. Maxi burries his head in the sand like an ostrich and cowers in fear, hoping that the bad times will just go away. And he's literally in the middle of one of these episodes right now!!!
