There are some bands and performers who do not get the publicity and acclaim they rightly deserve. The Mavericks and Raul Malo are in that category. They are truly one of the premier performing bands in our generation. They have a long history of satisfying audiences all over the world, and are just as good now as they ever were. Hope to see them on a future theme cruise after Covid is under control. Raul Malo's vocals just get better and better every year...!

They ENJOY what they do - they get along very well - they respect one another without egos - and they are all good musicians. They satisfy their fans everywhere they go. They are down to earth and will play anywhere just for you. YES this band deserves MUCH MORE RECOGNITION than they have. They are THAT GOOD!

That Mr. Perez is looking particularly fine on this video right down to his cufflinks and boutonnière. Besides being a fantastic musician he sure is a classy dresser. "Sharp dressed man!" The Entire band looks and sounds phenomenal as always. Raul is wonderful. Thanks for the wonderful music.

I agree. The sound was very uneven, especially to those of us who know every note. Could barely hear the keyboards, or Eddie's rifs, or Flaco on the Monarch. I know it's a jazz festival, but the brass tended to drown out everyone else. maybe it sounded better there. The crowd really seemed to enjoy it. They are one of the best live bands ever, and I was surprised by this recording.

Hope to get to see these guys live in concert someday. My mom had (or still has) their "What A Crying Shame" album and it was what introduced me to their sound. Hearing "Born To Be Blue" at an old job of mine sparked my interest in them again and slowly over the years, I've been finding more and more songs of theirs that I really like, so hopefully I'll be in an area where they might be touring through or something to that effect

And I know they tried to get him help before it came to that and it certainly isn't their fault. He left them no choice. But all said and done, Robert is a good man that just made a bad choice. It happens...all over the place it happens. I still love The Mavericks and I still love Robert.
