I came here because I knew you would appreciate this. For all of the crap that Jason Kidd (and by extension, the entire coaching staff) gets for “lack of in game adjustments”, here is an awesome adjustment for you: In the 3rd quarter, OKC found a look they liked. They stuck Chet in the ball side corner and had Shai attack the rim 1v1. This caused conflict for the help center (it was Lively guarding Chet). You can’t help, because Chet can knock it down. You can’t leave Shai 1on1 cause he will score every time. The Mavs called a TO right after Shai took the 1on1 and scored. Coming back from the timeout, Grant Hill specifically called this out on the TNT broadcast, stating “I think the Thunder found something here”. The VERY FIRST possession out of the timeout, Mavs are in a zone, and the ensuing possessions beyond that, they have different players on Chet so that lively can go back to floating help. I thought that was a fantastic adjustment. Hope you guys read this, KIDD gets a lot of unnecessary hate as it relates to Xs and Os.

j kidd Is a good playoff coach and he gets tons of hate (rightfully) for how he treats this team in regular season. in reg season he lets the boys figure out by themselves how to win games and that leads to some REALLY BAD losses against teams that we should not loose to cuz of lack of adjustment or even timeouts ti stop runs. Other than that he Is a pretty good coach that Is loved by the players and trusted out of respect by the stars stars

@@leonardo_mrll why is it bad to let the guys figure it out though? I really fail to see the issue with a few bad losses in the reg season if the team gets better from it. The goal isn’t 82-0, it’s make the playoffs, then go 16-12 // 4-3 every seven games. In my mind, he’s done a great job of helping grow theee guys individually and collectively

@@kylecraven1916 cuz 1) you can get Better teaching the guys how to react quickly off adjustment 2) you don't really know if guys get better from It or get frustrated from loosing those games more 3) winning more games = Better seeding = Better chance to win a series in less games and be rested for the next one

It's sad what has happened to Exum. He was showing signs of life last game, scoring 5 points in 5 mins. Not unhappy with Hardy's minutes at all, it was a good change of energy. Exum has been an intelligent player, active on defense, reliable when it mattered through the regular season. I still hope that player is there. Hoping for some minutes to shine in the WCF 🙏🙏

I would say the mavs have a great chance to get to the finals but the way Denver more specific Jokic is playing its gonna be extremely hard. Its not impossible because the mavs proved they can beat the nuggets but in a 4 game series idk.
