Me from Jagannath puri;Odisha I used to hear astaprahari with such music which means for two days continuously this music with praise bhajans.This music taal is Odisha 's kirtan music played with khol ,khanjani, jhanjhari.This is also west bengal influence of nitai and mahaprabhu chaitanya dev known as gouda nitai.All the memories of my spiritual past just got revived in this video.

Good joke it's called khol in west bengal but why these peoples are saying it mridanga because it's a immatured musical instrument but developed in odisha and odia peoples given this name mridanga so Bengalis always adopt odia things and they also adopted,the music is actually inspired from ghanta mardala of odisha,

For your kind information, it's not mridanga... It's just a Dholak type of instrument used for bhajans...Mridanga's sound, it's manufacturing is completely different... It's really a hard task to learn mridanga....I don't know why these ISKON guys call it mridanga
