I'm in month 4 of studying for the MCAT and I will be testing by next year, and l've been learning the question types and do my best to practice as many questions as possible. I watch a lot of videos here on KZbin and with practice, practice, practice. It's nice to hear advice from Good teachers here on KZbin who remembers that the struggle is real with this exam. Thank you again!! (Also, for the young ones worrying about not getting into Medical school soon...I'm 39 and will be 40 when (if accepted) I begin Medical school. Yup, I'm changing careers! So keep your head up, study and practice and remember you got this!)

I registered for the MCAT today for Septemember and I am terrified, but excited. My nephew is a senior pre-med student at UCLA, took the test on 9/14, got the score on 10/15 - drum roll - 512!!!! Studied the entire summer for 8 to 10 hours every single day using Princeton prep course. Congrats!!!!

@samuel nope, unfortunately he didn’t get into a single school although he applied to 36 and was invited to a second interview by a few. Makes you wonder what criteria they use to decide considering he had a very high GPA from UCLA. In Biochemistry. Trying again this year.

@Jacob Alvarenga Omg don't be nervous! I'm a junior in college and I'm studying for the MCAT now. College is really similar to high school, you just have a bit more freedom. They basically treat you like an adult. Picking a major you're passionate in is one of the most exciting things you can do! Studying will be easy just stick to it and relax :)

Hi America, I love watching your vids, they give me motivation to study for my MCAT :). There were a few things you stated incorrectly in this video though. The order of the MCAT is C/P, CARS, Bio/Biochemistry, & psych/soc. Also, CARS is just the verbal section renamed, so it's not new. Psych/Soc is the new section they added. But you never took the new exam so it's perfectly understandable.

Exam procedures sounds much like what we did for our RN exams. If we had to use the restroom off break & during the test time; we got escorted to the bathroom. A staff stood right outside the stall door & then promptly escorted you back to your seat. I was a bit nervous too, but I made it glad to say & grateful I'll never have to take that exam again.

The application opens in June, so you need to have taken it before then. You definitely can't do it late in the summer.
