The MDT - What is it and how does it work?

Great that you can film this Taylor, as I'm unable to, because of GAL policy. I can see that you are at Peckham Bus station. I used to do the 381 from there at Abellio.

Yeah I’m on the 177 rota now

@@TaylorStraub...I sometimes pass peckham coming back empty from lewisham on a 185...or vice versa when going empty the other way. I also do the 12 route once every few months.

Ah right ok I’ve heard route 12 is a pretty good route to do

What does it mean when the MDT shows fallback

The controllers can’t see who you are or where you are as you are not showing up on the system

We have something similar in Honolulu

Every major transit system uses a system like this. Ours here in Phoenix has Clever Devices. The system shown here is exactly the same as Fresno, California, as it’s now made by Trapeze. Used to be Siemens.
