A KN Special. It doesn't get any rawer.
This MG was Built back in 1935 and raced by a Mr. called Knight into the late 40s. After which it was passed on to his son who mounted a supercharger to the front of it because: speed.
This car passed through so many hands and experienced even more races, one might think this car belongs in a museum. That's also what happened eventually. But luckily Mr. Hatebur saved it from becoming a garage queen back in 2010 when he went on a trip to Geneva.
After successfully restoring the MG, it's once again doing what it was built for. Racing.

Great story, and lovely to see a car like this being driven hard as it likes to be. Which is also why the “old gentleman” sold it, because it deserves to be out on the road and not in a museum.

Wouw, great story! Busy on my PB, needed more energy to continue... you did it! Wonderful car, camera work and very entertaining, many thanks for this upload. PS, on prewar MG cars, somewhere it is mentioned that a 30s 1L racer (enlarged 4cyl) MG was able to perform 200BHP with a blower... which was staggering record at that time, even compared to the unbeatable also blown Silver Arrows which were more powerful but with a much larger engine capacity. In the same document, same time, it was mentioned that Cecil Kimber & Ferdinand Porsche had conversations together, where the latter assisted Cecil in improving his blower performance together with KLG & an oil supplier....

I have owned 30 British cars. I very much like MGs and have owned 7 including a 1946 MG TC race car and a 1950 MG TD prepped for Bonneville. I currently have a 1963 MGB. I am now inspired to find a Pre-War car. Beautiful car, fascinating story. Thanks for the wonderful video.. from Southern Oregon, USA.

It's a special! There is no intent to replicate any particular MG model. The builder simply rearranged vintage parts to his own liking to create a car for his own purposes. Guys like George Easton did this all the time. How many "perfect" restorations are made up of bits made yesterday?
