The stormbow arrows spawn about 10 blocks above a large screen. They won't fall to the player level before being able to touch blocks like some other projectiles. It's not impossible to use it in this world, but the arrows will only be able to fall on the far left side.

I'm happy you included that tangent in the video, since it cost me a few hours while experimenting for cheesy setups, so hopefully that won't happen to other people ^^; Congratulations on knocking out the mechanical monstrosities, thank you for your video \o/ ---- The "above ash blocks" is a myth that I have debunked and submitted to the wiki editors. I made an entire setup to kill WoF via timed explosives for my Hardcore, Master Mode, FTW runs, since that seemed safer than trying to fight it the traditional way, and figured that detail out while coming up with setups. I suppose the wiki wasn't updated though. The myth probably originally stems from a popular KZbin video, that tried to see how tight WoF can be squeezed through a gap, that happened to use Ash blocks. WoF doesn't care what type of blocks are used, as long as it's at least 2 tiles high, it considers it a floor or a ceiling, and the eyes attempt to stay above or below it, depending on it's current position relative to where the closest gap is. So in short: Type of block doesn't matter, it simply needs to be at least 2-tiles high solid or liquid blocks for the eyes to shift their vertical position The reason why WoF doesn't stay within the tunnel is, that the up/down movement of the eyes only happens at approximately a rate of 1 tile vertical for each ~2.5 tiles of horizontal movement. Since your tunnel is a 1:1 slope, it innevitably will eventually escape outside the tunnel, as the contract/expand simply doesn't happen fast enough. With a setup of something along the lines of alternating 2- and 3-wide, and 1-tall stairsteps it would likely move up the tunnel a fair bit further (Note: Every stairstep at least 2 tiles high each, making sure the beginning of the stairs is below the lower eye)

For the WoF ash test, the ash platform has to be at least 2 blocks thick for the wall to recognize it as actual hell instead of someone's hellbridge. I tested this on the latest version of TMod 1.4 so I'm not entirely sure that this would work on vanilla but I'm pretty confident.

Maybe the pirate's pylon works differently from the other NPC's. I remember him not selling it to me, even when he was in his favourite biome, and with the angler living next door. It wasn't until I got the tavernkeep to move in that the Pirate finally allowed me to buy the pylon from him, man, that guy sure has some high standards.

I'm still upset that they nerfed crates as much as they did in 1.4. I think separating pre and hardmode crates is fair (though you can't get pre hardmode crates at all which might annoy one if you're wanting to use them as decoration), but why oh why do you NEED titanium crates to even have a chance at adamantite or titanium? It makes the already tedious process so much worse than it needs to be.

The other reason to do torch god is to up your "torch luck" which is a hidden stat where having the correct biom torch placed will influence the drops you get. Better torch luck = better loot :)

As a Crimson player, I can totally assure you the power of the dart pistol and ichor dart, I use it until post golem sometimes. Glad the world is still functional after its 'formation' , and that you could avoid duping the crates.

Yes, this. You can get pylons from virtually every biome with some key combinations (Nurse + Arms Dealer and Angler + Golfer) They will sell multiple pylons if there is biome overlap, with the exception of the forest pylon which requires no other biome be present

Well, your testing could've been more thorough. You can even see in the footage at 18:35 and beyond that WoF does align it's topmost eye downwards and upwards again as the ash above it is also moving deeper and back up. It literally follows the same pattern as the formation it is moving along to. If I had to take a guess, it is due to your bridge only being 1 block thick and not more. I tend to make sure that the topmost ash layer is always perfectly mined out in a straight line and the top eye rarely ever moves at all for me. Could also be because i'm playing modded terraria and use version 1.3, but I do remember that the walkway needs to be thicker to be recognized as an alignable space for WoF to avoid it just getting massively crunched at every opportunity.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only armor sets available moving on are Spider or fishable ores (kind of a down grade now), Crystal Assassin (also a down grade but the dash is nice), Spooky (I think Pumpkin Moon Medallions are craft-able), or Tiki (buy from the Witch Doctor). Unless they go summoner, armor progression ended with mechs 💀

I think the reason the wall was unaffected was because it’s vertical movement isn’t fast enough to keep up with the slope. It tries to stay above and below ash which may have been the reason for the eyes going below the ash bridge in the test.

If you ever need the extra inventory squares, don't forget that you can put bait in your ammo slots. It usually doesn't make a difference to me because I always have the slots full with slime and bullets (and sometimes stars), but I noticed you had two empty ammo slots when you were popping all the crates, so I figured I'd at least mention it, in case it helps. PS: I actually frequently try for a dart rifle, as soon as I have an arena big enough for fighting mimics. With Crystal-Darts, it works basically like meteor-shot. Fires straight and bounces, but actively aims for enemies when it bounces. Good early-hardmode sniper-rifle, really.

Getting Pylons does most likely work, but the problem with the pirate is probably that the jungle overwrites oceans as the preferreed biome with it's higher priority, so the pirate didn't have enough discount to strat selling one. Otherwise he would have been selling at least one of them. Only the bad biomes, Glowing mushroom and Hallow biomes have a higher priority than the jungle. The sellers might sell the background biome pylons, instead of the jungle ones, as the priority mainly affects the likes and dislikes, but I'm not sure on that one.

just a little tip because you seem to did not understand about it ichor darts can pierce infinitely before splitting, good enough if you can go close. crystal darts can bounce off walls and pierce 4 enemies (i just forgot how much it pierces), it also do the funny "smart bounce" thing that nano bullet and chlorophyte arrow do. cursed dart is pretty much useless here, ignore it for a while. oh, and do NOT use hooks for twins especially spazmatism, it only make the battle worse (because the world is small)
