I wish that all teachers were speaking as energetically and passionalty as Eleanor is. It feels like the video went by in a blink of an eye. Really captivating.

Dr Elinor and Tony Robinson are by far the coolest people on anything medieval. I wish I had KZbin when I was doing my GCSE’s In 1999…

@@Fair_dinkum hence why Robinson is good because he gets you to watch/listen and learn, and dr Elinor is obviously the expert. Not having a PHD doesn’t necessarily not make you good at explaining things

@@Fair_dinkum I agree about dr Elinor, she brings that annoying American way of explaining things like it has to be loud and all over the place and a very annoying sense of humour. I much prefer an old Englishmen or woman explaining things with less happiness and more seriousness. But but but I’m here for the facts and not the person spewing said facts

Haystacks, are really spooky when you don't expect them where they are at night. Makes good sense to me, having gotten a nasty start at them from time to time.

I would LOVE to be able to believe in ghosties 👻, I mean, what FUN!.. but I can't help feeling that where there's a well perpetuated ghost story, there's usually a living person (or a pub, or a limited company or such) lurking in the shadows counting the 💰💰💰.. I mean, Chillingham.. What a brilliant name for a ghost filled castle.. That said, as a person who spent a lot of time in The City Of York as a kid, there ARE plenty of places where you definitely get a most spooky vibe, however sceptical you may be.. How nice it would be to have that extra dimension.. Thanks for a most diverting and informative chat! We need to see more of the cattie. 🐈🌟🌟👍

Believing in ghosts and god are not just medieval things, they are beliefs that people have today, for good reason. It's good to have faith in something larger than yourself, it will make you much stronger.

Agreed and if people want to understand what medieval people thought about the afterlife they can to some extent get a good grip on this by looking at what Roman Catholics (for a western European context) believe today.

There is no good reason to believe in god's or ghost's. It's all superstitious nonsense.
