Much respect for this lady. Good job. Saw The Headpins in the 80’s at a club called Barrymore’s on Bank Street in Ottawa. Was a great small venue for concerts. Great show. Darby Mills sounded just like the records. Amazing how she still sounds great.

I remember first seeing Darby and the Headpins in Brandon, Manitoba in 1982 or 1983 at Mr. B's nightclub. I fell a little bit in love that first time. Wow can't believe the voice. I still remember how you blew us out the building at the Beverly Crest in Edmonton. Best band to every play there. Still listen every chance I get. Hey this is pretty recent. Say Darby, I visited Canada in 1984 and what a year it was. never got to se you perform live but I went back home to the Netherlands with two Headpins albums under my arm.. Thank you so much for the music you gave that I enjoyed so much. A fantastic memory to a Canada that was, at that time, free and wonderful. So beautiful. I wanted to visit Canada last fall.. Something nasty came up. You know what. Some other time..

Awe thanks lars007 It's been a rough ride standing up to a person who feels they control you and your ability to work. I didn't leave the band I left the new leader. I've been informed by this person that I'll be playing B clubs the rest of my career. Also being told that when a buyer asked how to reach me they replied "she's retired" Or "you'll be disappointed if you hire her" This person also sent me via txt how they have 300k US funds in investments. This determination to kill my career shows who they are and how low they will go. It must be very frustrating to know they can't erase me from the records. Sorry to go on but I'm fighting for the right to work as they make a living off my image and essence. Thanks again for a knowledgeing I am a part of what the Headpins is!

well it's not the headpins It's the DMP. It's not our job to do it like them in my opinion. However you might not realize that there are keyboards on all the Pins stuff. Too Loud played them all won a Juno for it as a matter of fact! The 36 years I sang in the band we had a keyboardist on stage with us all the time!!

I never understood why the Headpins never released any new material since 1985, and Darby's solo album is from 1991. Long over due for new fresh material. Lee Aaron seems to put a new album out every few years so why can't Darby or Headpins?

Headpins are now owned by an agency that can put them at the top of any bill they are booked at. They don't have to produce anything ever again. Darby has put out 5 new single/videos since leaving the band. Have you not seen them?

Seen you in Red Deer 1989 Sat beside you in the restaurant with our red head baby, as you noticed. Smaller venue than Prince George when Headpins broke the rock scene. Then back again driving thru a snow storm, roads closed, but we made it. Red Deer 2007 or 8. North end of the city. Oh, what great times you give us Darby Mills! Onward and upward girl!!
