I’m usually only a hermit craft person and you don’t get to see a lot of building in last life so this is the first time I’ve seen Joel really build and honestly he’s probably one of my favorites too. A lot of the hermits are so good at building that it seems really daunting to even try to make something vaguely resembling that. Joel’s style for whatever reason seems much more approachable and cleaner and I really love it

13:18 Something I only learned yesterday, if you put nether gold ore in the furnace you get a gold ingot, not just a gold nugget.

You probably get more if you fortune pick the ore first. It does eliminate a step though

Edit: apparently the average with fortune 3 is about 8 nuggets per ore, so it IS slightly more efficient on average just to smelt it.

Although now that I think about it, it's a lot less painful to craft gold ingots than to smelt them, so it probably balances out either way

Small Tip: If you smelt the nether gold ore you get a full ingot, while fortune only gives some nuggets. (Great video BTW)

Fortune 3 gives a max of 24 nuggets but the average is a little less than an ingot so it is more efficient just to smelt it

I am just coming from the Hermitcraft townhall and Xisuma just re-emphasised the value of letting content creators stand by themselves and to not make their value dependent on being part of a certain community. Of course, I would totally enjoy watching him interact with the other members, but it's important to state that I would enjoy watching his content regardless of what SMP he is part of or what content he uploads :)

I was thinking that, specifically to make it extra devastating, grian might use a manual trigger for some of his traps, and if so, jimmy wouldn't trigger it (he'd want for joel to come through), and grian also wouldn't trigger it. I think there should be an agreement to ensure that all players trigger traps equally no matter what, including the trap setter, and that manual traps are no fun.

To make the iron armour break, have regen from the beacon and stand touching a catus, the regen will keep you alive and the cactus will do durability damage to the armour

If you have silk touched nether gold you can smelt it for 1 ingot each, which is better than using fortune then crafting. Love your builds and content!
