I have a theory. Peacock's Megamind sequel/series doesn't actually exist. There's a tear in reality that allows you stream the series from another/darker timeline. That also explains why it buffers so badly. I refuse to believe it's a real thing.

The worst part about this Megamind series, is that it actually kinda makes me no longer want to even watch the original. It's the expenses, they had to create all the new assets because there wasn't enough for episodes at the start but that front loads all the expenses requiring the second half to reuse those elements. Ironically a longer season with better concieved dynamics might have worked. The show is structured like Darkwing Duck character wise but Darkwing has alot more fun with the villains and their gimmicks making all the recurring characters alot of fun where here it's all a bit too dry. Also the 3D rigging leaves them with too few locations compared to a 2D show where drawing the backgrounds could be done more easily making it easy for the story to reuse characters but feel fresh by having those villians going after something different.

you know what I would have loved to see a megamind series bent around helping people. He's a hero now, right? Well, what does that mean? Could go into a lot of deep topics. The corruption of the legal system. Homelessness and how cities try to push those people away. Racism. Sexism. Have it so that the enemies he fights are deeply broken because of flawed systems, just like he was. Have it so that he tries to help them, sometimes it works out, sometimes he fails. Let it be tragic at times... low, low moments of despair, but high moments of hope.

The problem with the silhouette is that a good characters design means that they are distinguishable from each other. Memorable. I I was really happy in the first movie that they didnt give Roxanne the typical doll-face like 90% of drawn/animated women and instead something at least a little more unique and charming, so I cant ever be annoyed at their obvious silhouettes. 😊
