Your videos are the best! Way better than khan academy. Simple, informative, straight to the point, with no fluff. I love them

Yea also way more "wrong" than KhanAcademy unfortunately. As an example: The 2nd follicle is NOT MATURE and also DOES NOT contain a secondary oocyte. That is only the case in a Graffian follice.

Thank you very much! Your videos are enlightening, very useful for the exams. Just one thing (according to my book at least, i'm an italian student): the second release of estrogen by the corpus luteum is lower in concentration than the one before the LH surge (and not the same, as shown in the diagram). This because, meanwhile the progesteron only has a negative feedback on pituitary gland, estrogens have two different effects on FSH/LH release, as you correctly say in the lecture, because of the different concentrations: with low estrogens you'll have negative feedback, with high estrogens you'll have LH surge. Thank you from Italy, please carry on with your work ;)

I love your lectures! They’re super helpful! Keep it up :) However, there’s one mistake on the Endometrium Thickness graph. The thickness of the endometrium should maintain thickness until day 28/0, and then it is shed during menstruation on Day 1 (the drop off should occur on Day 1). It looks like your graph has it decreasing around day 20.
@yazeed40195 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you but I think in a seek for simplicity and in coordination with other graphs (follicles, hormones) it was made like so.

It's interesting that estrogen causes a positive feedback around day 14 when we would expect it to cause a negative feedback, and then it does a negative feedback later on. Great video as always, super super informative and very clear. Nice job!

According to my medical books (physiology) and lectures at the uni, there is a mistake in the graph of LH and FSH, in the follicular phase, FSH is suppose to be higher before LH spikes.
