Matt… I can’t say I liked the pod from the start. However, back in 2021 when I saw signs of life in this Lions team that were different from the past, I was thirsty for quality content, and you brought it…. And you still bring it, and I have come to appreciate your thoughtful analysis and consistently meaningful content. One of your qualities I appreciate is that you never pretended to be a lifetime Detroit fan. That honesty lends credibility. Why WOULDN’T they not have a winning mentality regardless what happens Sunday? That makes no sense. If Green Bay wins they clinch home field advantage. If Green Bay loses, they need to win to make sure they get home field over Philly.

All this considers Green Bay losing. Say we sat our players and lost to SF then lose to the Vikings then we are the 5 seed. If we beat the Vikings, we have the same record as the Eagles and Vikings but have tie breakers and take the 1 seed. If we beat SF and lost to the Vikings, we are still the 5 seed. Vikings have the better record and the eagles have the same record but win their division. It's essential either we win the north and take the 1 seed or we are the 5 seed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
