I’m 5 year from now from turning 30! It’s only 5 years man but I feel yah. I’m only 25 and I’m dreading it. People say “ah wait till you’re 50” man. I don’t wanna wait that long man xD

This song express perfectly their feeling about getting older while they feel themselves still young rockers. Great "four chords song"!!!

Turned 30 a week ago. March 24th. I've discovered this song two-three weeks ago, as my twenties were about to fade forever. It's insane how close to home those lyrics hit. I've been dumped by my GF in 2017, at age 24. Worst ordeal I've ever had to face. Ever since, I feel that all I've ever done was mourn, mourn, mourn, and not live the moment. Basically, my 25-30 period was wasted. Half a decade taken hostage by my guilty conscience. And yes, everyone kept asking me over and over when I was gonna quit this nonsense. But I never could. Sure, I've kind of moved on, but the regrets are killing me and I feel so freaking old. It's almost frightening to think that a couple of American dudes, living thousands of kms from me, can write things that I can totally relate to. Me, a poor, aging humble Frenchie. That's what makes music so thrilling, I guess. Hell, even the cover art speaks volumes. This crying man, sitting down, just out of reach of all the fun, while younger people are having a blast. God Damn. I really think that things can change, and that saying so ain't wrong. While I wait to figure it out, I'll just listen to this. On full volume. Again and again.

Great opening track to a marvelous record. The way the melody is sung, reminds me of Rancid. Such a killer track.

love finding new punk bands, the breath and depth of the emotion of this song is incredible, makes me feel so exhileratingly fatalistic and fond of past and present times whilst mourning the fading of my youthnall at once

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible Buying marijuana makes you feel like a criminal When your new friends take a joke too literal Making you feel like the bad guy Oh, where are we gonna go, oh now that our twenties are over? Oh yeah, oh yeah, all hope abandoned I'm not young enough to be a companion Not old enough to be a guide What a cliche, time to try Oh, where are we gonna go, oh, now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Everyone's asking me over and over The decade taken hostage by my own guilty conscience When you gonna quit this nonsense? Everyone's asking me over and over But I don't mind telling lies Oh yeah, oh yeah, let's go to Vegas Put it all on black and get married by Elvis If we wake up broke, we'll be fine We'll get rich in another lifetime Oh, where are we gonna go, oh, now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? Everyone's asking me over and over The decade taken hostage by my own guilty conscience When you gonna quit this nonsense? Everyone's asking me over and over But I don't mind telling lies, lies Like tension you can cut with a knife Like a wedding ring that never fit right Like a car alarm that won't stop howling A decade lost in the motions to romance and cheap whiskey The subtle sound of a fleeting feeling Like four chords that don't love you no more In a motel room, a sleeping bag on the floor Is it wrong to say that things can change? Is it wrong to say that things can change? (Telling lies)

I was 16, homeless, sitting in a hotel thinking about killing myself and crying while my family went to go get cheap food.. I threw on spotify and an ad came on for their new album. I've only listened to one song before, years ago, (I don't want to be an asshole anymore) and I thought the band name sounded familiar.. That stupid fucking ad distracted me long enough to calm down and appreciate something small in life. How stupid it is for something like that, but that's what mental illnesses do. 3 years later, feeling the same way, hear we are again. Appreciating the small things. Stupid as fuck, but lemme pour my heart out at 3am broski.
