Luisa Madrigal had one of the most relatable storylines out of any Disney character that has ever existed. Like many people around the world, Luisa grew up with the mindset that “strong people don’t cry,” and to her, strength was everything. She relied on her powers with every choice that she made, even though she was typically doing things for others. No one seemed to care about Luisa’s inner struggles though, in fact, none of them even seemed to be aware that she had any. And that’s because something in her past led the people around her to see Luisa more as a machine rather than the human being that she was. Sadly, this misguided perception of Luisa comes from her childhood, though we know little about it.

Grandparents showing favoritism in the family is as toxic as showing control over everyone and their talents. True Abuela saw the dangers of the Enchanto talents, that doesn’t mean she had to take authority and make them control their emotions that connect their powers. Luisa is also human and needs a break! That, and the fact that others need to offer help, as well!

Luisa’s pressure and expectations are like the quote “If you put pressure on a pencil, it will break.” Too much pressure can make a person break down because they can’t handle it anymore 😢

Abulea is just a terrible person I understand she didn't wanna lose her family ever again I get that but she shunned her grand daughter because she had no powers and she pushed for this perfect image and refused to believe it could possibly be her tearing family apart by having such high expectations and not even trying to know her kids and grandkids
