Messi is the only one who can seat in the same Table with Maradona and Pelé ✨⚽

True, those are the only 3 that based on natural ability transcend the sport, almost God like status. They are from different generations so it's almost impossible to say which is the best. Ronaldo deserves a mention too based on achievement but his talent is more about hard work and winning mentality. He doesn't have anywhere near the natural/ special talents of Pele, Maradona and Messi.

Nah pele and messi are at a seat by themselves. There is nothing that makes maradona be at a seat with them. Maradona is at the level of cristiano, ronaldo, cruyff, puskas..

Tom your videos are amazing... David , Jorge Mas and his group are amazing. Fast Forward to September 5th, 2023. Inter Miami is yet to lose a game, They won The League's Cup, They are a finalist in the Open Cup and they beat the crap out of the current MLS Champion FCLA on September 3rd, w023 by a score of 3-1. Not only they have Messi, they Jodie Alba and Busquets and an Amazing Goalkeeper, that is the USA Men's Soccer keeper. Gentleman what a vision David, Jorge Mas (Cuban by the way) son the late great Jorge MasCanosa... RIP ... and what a way to bring this case to life Tom !!! Simply Amazing stuff happening in South Florida.

The chats with Messi started in 2019...If the Mas Bros with RS capital bought out the previous owners, were those previous owners aware of the communication between Beckham and Lio? Would they have sold if they knew? Interesting...

Its great what has happened, but if not Messi than maybe someone else would have come…but Inter Miami is Alive because of the Mas brothers…. This thing was dead in the water. The Miami Marlins, I’ll probably kicking themselves for not choosing the mass brothers when they wanted to buy the Marlins.. Beckham made a great choice!

Nice stuff but the timeline missed the 2021 money and roster shenanigans. MLS sanctioned the Mas brothers and millions of dollars of player salary allocations were withheld for the 2022 and 2023 season. One of their operating executives was banned from working in MLS. That's why Miami has struggled getting top line talent until now and is bottom of the table.

500 million in two years?? I'd say Inter already earned that much only since Messi was signed! 500 million is nothing in today's football, ESPECIALLY if Lionel Messi is in your team!

Mark my word, if Messi didn't come to the MLS the league would have died in 20 years max, now it's possible for it to become a league people actually pay attention to similar to the other big spirts Leagues in America.

Messi is like throwing gasoline onto a fire. Massive effect but won't last for too long. However if the Messi effect starts wearing off in 2026, then the US will experience another "gasoline thrown on a fire" effect, when the mens World Cup starts. Don't think Americans understand how much "world attention" the Messi signing and the World Cup 2026 gives the USA and the MLS. Messi is much much bigger than Lebron, Brady, Tiger Woods etc and the World Cup is much much bigger than the Super Bowl, on the world stage.
@sheffsteel7
@sheffsteel7 Жыл бұрын
@zeo4481 there are 2 more factors that could and should take the MLS to the next level. 1: Introducing a promotion/ relegation raises the stakes/ jeopardy to worrying but exciting levels. Every single result becomes massively important. Seeing big teams near the bottom provides ghoulish interest because that team could be relegated to the lower MLS tier. This system means it's less about entertainment and more about survival and theatre. 2: The MLS talk about potentially attracting elite level players in their prime, however all the best players want to play in the highest standard, most prestigious club competition, which is the European Champions :League, so somehow the MLS winners need to be allowed to play in this competition OR maybe after 2026 there may be talk of a world club competition that becomes more lucrative and more prestigious than the Euro league. Imagine MLS teams regularly playing home and away to clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan. Thats when you clubs are on the world map playing the best.

Soccer is not popular in South Florida. Not all Latinos love "Futbol." In fact, Miami is made up of mostly non-Soccer crazed Latinoamericanos -- Cubans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Venezuelans are not Soccer folk, they're more Baseball people.

Messi is not retired, and you're seeing it as we read each other. 36 years old and is making EVERYBODY in the MLS and the mexican league looked like amateurs! 36 years old and he has scored 5 goals in les than three games played and is making some of his teammates look like new versions of prime Dani Alves (Yedlin), Xavi (Cremaschi) and Neymar (Taylor).

Several years ago, the FC Cincinnati team paid well over $100m for the franchise and that didn’t include well over another $150m for the stadium and related property development, not even including players, coaches, training facilities, etc. i think its reasonable to suggest a small market team is worth $400m, so you take a Miami with the Messi effect in a couple years, why not $1b.

Bla bla bla… propaganda. There was a chance an opportunity and the Mas family took it. Messi only would go to a same language location, tropical and relatively safe. That’s Miami. Messi would never go to NY … he rejected Arabia for 1.500 million dollars. Don’t be silly Doc!!!!!
@sheffsteel7

Agree.....Beckham knows that when a footballer is incredibly wealthy it's more about the project, lifestyle, family life and legacy, more than pure money. Also Beckham knows that the US is still an untapped market with huge potential. So it's opportunism and makes sense to persuade the best player in the world to live in a country with plenty of Argentianians and Spanish speaking Latinos. Home from home.
