Jacob Dixon Oh no, she's clearly a mezzo in my opinion... Compare her to Ferrier or Stutzmann and you'll hear the deepest timbre in their contralto voices

There are different type of contraltos. Timbre is not the only thing to measure a contralto. For instance, you have dramatic, lyrical and middle weight contraltos.

Opera and choral classifications use different names for different ranges. When applying a choral classification, most mezzos would be "altos", not "sopranos". Dame Connolly's operatic classification is mezzo-soprano, appropriately.

doubt very much that Handel used a countertenor, please do your research! He used Castrati but they are not at all the same thing as a counter tenor.A castrato would used the full voice a countertenor uses only falsetto. I did read somewhere that he employed very very few counter tenors
