My best friend who is a French Canadian loves all things Russian- particularly Czar Nicholas the second and the Romanov family -has always had a Christmas tree covered in Faberge like eggs. It is spectacular! I to collect ornaments for my travels but I particularly like folk art. I am supporting a local artist and I'm happy to say no one has a tree quite like mine

My favorite place in Manhattan. I have been there more times than I can remember. The crèche is always wonderful. They have a great cocktail reception there for members every holiday season (in normal times). At 7:35 (Petrie Court) is where I used to go and do homework when I was in college. Only other museum in the city that comes close to me is The Frick. Can’t wait for it to reopen. Happy holidays!

A beautifully filmed day Vivienne.👌 I too have taken video and still photos of exhibits in museums or anywhere on my travels so I can read all the info boards later. When time is so limited, this is a perfect way of seeing everything. Starting off with the adorable little dog (practically sitting on top of the fire for warmth) was the first of many aww’s in this vlog. The Creche, the beautiful angels on the tree, the Fabergė decorations, the historic statues - all combined to relay the spiritual atmosphere of Christmas! We went there a few weeks ago ,we live in Florida took the train23 hrs up to New York lovely relaxing train ride ,We went to the Met but didn’t do much visiting as we had done a lot of walking beforehand and we were so tired ,I would love to of been in N Y for Christmas but the train fare would cost hundreds of$ more ,oh well ,
