@@Thanec- oh you mean the top, well the railings are used because on pillars enemies can walk on the railings you will get stuck ( for example with a stego) if they drop on top thgey will be stuck in a falling animation in between 4 railings because the stego cant fall though. on the roof the stegos will slide down and fall off. feel free to watch my skytower video I show it there.
