"only in your turn" isn't really bad restriction. But if only it turn all special summoned monsters to Pyro, like this, "Face-up Special Summoned monsters *on the field* become Pyro during your turn only." (not only your opponent), it will have funny synergy with Awakening of Veidos.

Thanks for making and supporting this video! Glad the deck is getting love. Given the lack of Pyro support, I've done some crazy experiemnts that I'd love to see others try 1. The biggest addition to the deck i always play is Volcanic Emperor. Searchable with Banshee (send to grave to avoid Droll), this card banishes any pyros from field/GY to summon (triggers Banshee), deal 1000-1500 burn, search a volcanic trap, then deal 500 on each special summon. The trap target can either deal extra burn damage (Emission has synergy with Veidos) or monster negates (requires volcanic in grave to summon). 2. Pyro engines. A few engines with pyros could be played alongside this deck. Those being Volcanic, Snake Eye/Diabellstar, or Centur-Ion. SE and Centur-Ion ofc being great engines on their own. Each have pyro monsters (Centurion Trudea) that can used for fusion summons or banished for Emperor. Centurion Auxila can reset Trudea after being banished by Emperor, free synergy. Shaman can also shuffle back any banished pyros. 3. The Dracoslayer engine. My choice for the ongoing Theme Chronicle event. Dracoslayers can both search the field spell (Majesty Pegasus) and destroy it (Electrumite) while also adding tuners to potential plays. Still no tier 1 but so fun, so many ways to play, and feels good winning with this.

The Ra deck is so much fun and you helped me learn how to properly play Ghostricks. Keep up the good work! A great way to help Ashened be more potent is to include a small Volcanic engine.

TLDR: I was thinking on what the archetype needs and since it's still missing it's level 5 and 6 I tried to think on what they could do to help it, obviously more fusions but I haven't got that far ahead, but I did think of three that I feel would help some of the key issues the deck has and they're open to balancing too though. 1:another field spell, not to knock obsidim it's alright but I felt like one of the things the deck needs is protection for your starters, this deck flops to ash and imperm and an additional field spell was my conclusion, since you blow up obsidim to search a starter anyways. The name has to include ashened to be searchable: on field and in grave it's name becomes obsidim the ashened city(to use with regular obsidim, as well as still gain the special summon effect) on activation searches a regular obsidim and on field it protects ashened cards specifically (not veidos) from being negated even if you wanted a once per turn that's fine but I feel like not including veidos was enough cause the regular ashened monsters are kinda mediocre anyways honestly and just starters for the most part, and the ones that aren't are still kinda mid, spear being the most useful outside of that cause hero is too specific if not including veidos. lastly(which isn't a must have but I felt it helped be able to still search with regular obsidim but not lose your protection, once per turn you can activate an obsidim (in your hand specifically) to either side of the field, so you can still pop and search, and if you rotate it it can shuffle back this one to draw. 2: the best starter in the deck isn't searchable, let's fix that. Ashened Herald: level 4 dark pyro, 100 atk/1700 def, can be special summoned with obsidim, when normal or special summoned: searches awakening of veidos from deck to your hand. Once per turn except the turn it was sent there, (quick effect) you can banish this card from your graveyard then target a veidos eruption dragon in gy or banishment and add it to hand. I felt this helped search the best starter in the deck which it needs, and offered some follow up for a turn or protection for veidos from being called by or bystialed or maliss/melodious technically to pull it out of banishment if it's there. 3: some kind of board protection so the deck can actually use some more extra deck monsters or at least keep some interaction after veidos since most end boards are literally just veidos and two bodies pass with the trap or super poly. Solution: Ashened Sentinel, level 6 dark pyro, 1800 atk/2500 def, special summon with obsidim, (quick effect) you can banish this face up card on the field: monsters you control can't be destroyed by card effect until end of turn, when "Ashened King" is summoned to your side of the field, you can special summon this card in face up defense position from your gy or face up banishment. Can only use each once per turn. I tried to stick to the theme each level of the ashened monsters had in stats, and create something that lets you end on something other than just veidos but still offer something universal, the king part is just thematic for them to protect the king and since king likely won't be summoned more than once unless this gets more grind support, I felt it gave a body back for fusion or something. Our level 5 I haven't fully thought of yet but I was thinking something it needs is mostly more fusion support since that's kinda part of it's thing. So probably something down that avenue. All in all those were some of the ideas I had to help the deck a bit, I tried to balance them but it's open, I felt most of the cards are mid anyways so it didn't hurt it too much having a bit of overtuning. I'll try to think of a level 5 and some more fusions and go from there but this was what I got, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

At one point he was against branded and had himself a pretty stacked field (at least by ashened standards) with veidos on the opps field and a live ashened to endlessness. Instead of the obvious play of fusing for Endless Darkness, he pops extinction with hero and wipes the field, which is way worse for him than his opponent.

I would love to see Fluffal. Neither Penguin nor Toy Vendor are hard once per turn, so I can see a lot of potential with this deck. I've seen people pair it with Unchained, Magician's Souls, Eldlich the Golden Lord or even Snake-Eyes to pop the Toy Vendor. Horus/Eldlich can also be used to discard toy vendor and wings. I would be very interested to see what you would do with this deck.

Love the vid, I too decided to build and play a bit of Ashened as well, I'm running a fairly unique version with Dark Hole Dragon because I love the card, and I think there's a little bit of synergy there, especially when you raigeki the field during your opponents turn, and you summon it from hand and add a dark hole for follow up on your next turn, I think it's a pretty fun tech to try out :)

It is hilarious how in the actual TCG Ryzeal the current best deck also has insane synergy with ashened because Detonator is a Pyro monster. Both decks can also search each other through Flame Banshee. It’s been very fun to play.

Jeese, i would use the Melodious engine with Ashened as Banshee can bridge the 2 engine. You could also use Volcanic Emperor and Emission to boost the end board of Ashened. In the TCG, you can use the Ryzeal engine.

I feel like this deck follows a somewhat going second design. I mean, Veidos is basically a hand trap as well, then if it resolves you set the trap so that you would then be able to use immediately in turn 2 hopefully in conjuction with Obsidim. Also, I wonder if there's a way to combine the archetype with something else able to take advantage of giving Obsidim to opponent (which means that on THEIR turn, all of YOUR monster become Pyros). Could there be something to take advantage of this somehow?

I am considering experimenting with Branded Ashened partly for this reason, and partly because Ashened looks like fun to play. Here's my dumb idea for Myutants. Run Time Tearing Morganite. You absolutely need cards for their costs and worst of all, you need myutant cards. Crossout Designator possibly for handtraps/imperm. Run one of each handtrap you don't want to see. You absolutely do not want to get ashed/veilerd/imperm'd.

Do you think that you could possibly also run the horus engine in this deck? I know that the Ashened spells lock you into pyros but what if you do your honus plays before you do your ashen plays? Also horus monsters cannot be destroyed by Veidos effect if sarc is on your field

I labbed with Ashened for maybe upwards of 15 hours now and im SO glad someone also picked up on the spirit tech. Personally I think that you can run the fusion trap at 3, so you can have one potentially in the grave for surprise pyro. I have a huge list of potential tech cards for it but the biggest i can think is Lord of the Heavenly Prison, its a free body that protects your traps AND can grab any other spell or trap quickly including Field Spells so you can extend further. Also, Raider's Knight into Dark Rebellion for a alternate boss monster/kill option. If anyone else wants me to talk more about my findings and potential tech let me know, it goes crazy.

So Jesse, I’ve been watching for a while now and there’s a deck I really really want to Try out but I’m scared as heck to make it, and if by some chance you read this, you’ll either get a real kick out of it, or want to puke 😂. You see my fave deck of all time is trash but can be used to kill every meta deck if it gets rolling and can use their monsters in the opponents graveyard, and that deck is the fossil fusion deck. Now yes this deck alone sucks rocks….. ok sorry bad pun 😅, but I’ve always wondered if you can make a proper fossil deck with my fave engine being Horus. I think this could work in a sense because pretty much all the fossil monsters have graveyard effects when they’re sent by an effect, but i just don’t know how I would properly build and ratio everything. I’d love it if you could try and make this garbage deck at least look cool in 1 video. If not I understand and will try again another time…. Besides I promise I’m solid….. ok I’ll leave now 😅
