@@firedrake110 Pop is incredibly weak now, you have to get lucky enough to get to a gen as it's close to finishing. Which if it happens in a game, they should be rotating who is on it while dragging the killer away in chase anyways. Pop is a dead perk now, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Too bad regression got nerfed so hard across the board, but atleast the same happened for survivors, so we might see more than 5 perks from players.

With the new overcharge even this Ruin wouldnt be that good, specially against teams that break it in 30s. Hope they keep changing perks for the better, not only nerfing some and buffing others. It's better to have several good perks than a small group of meta perks.

People never liked using totems to begin with. It was mostly that certain abilities were only on totems for the longest time. Removing totems viability will need to happen to buff other perks in the game and make them usable.

I will never understand why the devs don't realize they need good incentives for the killer to leave the hook if they want less camping. Ruin, Pop etc. were the only perks good enough to encourage killers to leave the hook at higher gameplay levels. If they just nerf them, camping will reign supreme for winning as killer.

That's not true. The Overcharge + Call of brine combo will be better than Ruin honestly. They require you to kick a gen, which requires you leave the hook. The upside is that they can't be cleansed. Also, killers are getting buffed and gen speeds are being extended. If you still feel the need to camp with all of that then ruin and pop being gone aren't the problem.

Wraith is my main too. I’ve been playing since before the 5th anniversary and I always sucked as killer but wraiths kit is so easy to learn and his addons are really good especially the windstorm addons it helped me get better as killer. He’s the perfect beginner killer imo

Ruin will probably still be used because you still won't have to waste time kicking generators. Sure its slower to regress, but you can still passively affect generators.

Think it's still a good pick for high mobility killers as they are able to get value out of the perk more, but it's basically dead on others. Deadlocked is the way to go for other killers now, and it comes with the bonus of not becoming useless within 20s when versing a swf

Yeah, they went way overboard IMHO. They should have buffed weaker perks, maybe made Dead Hard usable for each hook state, and left DS alone. They basically killed the best perks in the game and didn't give us viable options to replace them. Time will tell if the new meta is as enjoyable as the old, but I'm not convinced - from both a killer and survivor standpoint.

@@noble_DBD What I find very interesting: BHVR wants to disincentivize camping and tunneling... by nerfing 90% of the perks that rewarded you for leaving the hook and going for multiple people and buffing passive slowdown perks like Thana or Gift of Pain... interesting approach to the problem I've gotta say. Now... why exactly should I leave my hook again? Might as well force second stage on the guy on the hook, hit them once after the unhook to remove their Endurance, eat their 3 second baby DS and tunnel them out to make the match a 3v1... right?

I believe tunneling and camping will actually be worse with this update - The killer has no incentive to leave the survivor. Gen regression perks have been nerfed along with tunnel defense (DS/DH). The only option will be to tunnel survivors out of the game (or get rushed). That, along with constantly mending due to deep wound... Matches are going to be long and drawn out (e.g. boring). Maybe something needed done with DH... I've heard every argument, but they could have accomplished something better for everyone IMHO. If you play survivor, get ready to mend, mend, men's. Slow, boring matches incoming I'm afraid.

people are really over reacting over its actual nerf it still gonna give the same result (generally ether survivor go straight back on the gen after pushing them away or they never came back and its gonna regress back to 0 nerfed or not), but the true unspoken issue is Overzealous buff. running any hex will mean giving someone with overzealous a 16% increased repair speed until injured.

No they are definitely not overreacting it definitely is an actively bad perk at this point. Statistically it’s going to take a gen 160 seconds for it to regress 40 seconds of progress or 356 or 6 minutes to regress a 99% gen most games don’t even last that long. Not to mention it already doesn’t last very long before someone cleanses the totem, additionally it automatically cleanses itself after a kill has occurred. So now tell me how is this better than something like surge, pain res, pop or any other regression perk for that matter? I never really ran it to begin with because I don’t like the rng aspect of totem perks on killers but now I’m sure as hell gonna stay away from it as it takes up a perk slot.

Still have interest in watching gameplay but getting bugs after chapter, after chapter, along with some things they don't fix, coupled with the unnecessary buff/nerf to perks that didn't need it just has made me uninterested in playing for a long while. Stayed with them for a long time, never had a long break, but sometimes you just get fed up...
