The kiosk worker said the fireworks were a lot bigger of a deal. She thought it was gunfire, so she closed a little early and got out of there. She said she didn't see aliens or anything, just hearing a lot more fireworks that she really thought was gunfire. The police came in mass due to the info they received from people calling and reporting multiple gunshots.

According to other youtube sources it was caused by the so callled realm hackers. Apparently they use a discontinued radio frequency tuner from the 1980's, a pressure cooker with red mercury inside, to open a rip in time space or a dimensional portal.
