This video was with the 4032 and not the new 4091 drivers for Intel arc, however with the games tested here I found no difference with the new drivers except for in Total war: Warhammer 3. Intel's architecture is what interests me the most. Of the big three, it easily scales the best at higher resolutions while AMD's scales the worst and Nvidia is sorta the mid ground

This isnt necessarily a good thing or bad. this can be a good thing in the sense the card is powerful or bad in the sense that something isnt working right during lower resolutions either driver issues (preferred) or hardware issue :/ this card is very similar to Vega, and Radeon 7 card \_( -_-)_/. BTW i own this card replaced a gtx 1080 with it.

@@livedreamsg it’s better by a lot as long as it’s 1440p and higher at 1080p in some games it’s quite close to a GTX 1080 by I got it for a 4k panel so it’s fine for me

looks like Intel just released their Arc A Series Graphics Drivers to version 31.0.101.4091. You might want to try run your benchmark tests once more and see what results you get. Can't wait to get home and update my A770 LE drivers!

I think the more interesting comparison is in the pricing, and that means you cannot forget about the Arc 750, which is like 90% of the performance now at 250USD. Meanwhile the 3060ti is like 450 at best. Based on these numbers the Intel Arc 750 is nothing short of king at the price point with the new drivers.

Can’t wait until the February update when they remove the CPU bottleneck and DX11 get a perf boost. Hopefully soon the A770 starts performing like it’s die size which is slightly larger than a 3070. Of course the VRAM is better then a 3070.

Hello brother, i would like to suggest you 2 things in your videos 1) use a compressor filter to the songs about -20db ratio 10 so the sound become quiter 2) when you show numbers of fps, blur a bit the gameplay so its easy to focus on the charts ! Have a nice day, good work.

There is a lot of information missing here, like the driver version. I’m personally using the A770 on driver 4091 and it runs a fair amount faster than what is shown here in some titles. Also didn’t see anything mentioned about Intel XESS, which in the titles that support it (like MW2), can give a large boost in FPS (and it does a fantastic job of maintaining visual fidelity). Personally I’m using the A770 with a 13700k with 32GB of DDR5 (6000), and I love the GPU. I’ve been extremely impressed with it. That being said, I appreciate you making this video if for no other reason than spreading awareness about Intel actually making GPU’s. I can’t tell you how many people have no idea that Intel makes GPU’s when I tell them I’m using an Intel Arc A770 lol.

The drivers were 4032, which were released at the end of december I believe. I didn't use XESS as then to be fair I would have had to use dlss on the 3060ti. Thats because you are using a faster CPU. Many reviewer seem to miss this but going from a 5800x to a 7700x for example can give you a massive performance uplift because the drivers heavily rely on a good cpu or you could say that Intel suffers from driver overhead.

Intel is doing alchemist refresh, it is possible the new arc alchemist can hit 3070-3070ti range. But I think for intel to hit 3080 range, it'll be 2024 when battlemage comes out. And By the time Celestial comes out, it'll be like 3090-3090ti. Who knows. But one thing is for sure, Intel is going full steam ahead with driver fixes and they are cutting price so Intel will become the new GPU budget king in 2023 and 2024.

I'll definitely buy that. My 3060ti is perfect for 1080p. But It can't hit 144 fps in new AAA titles at high quality. Dropping a whopping 1000 dollars on a GPU is not an option as well.

@@tomstechtable I was expecting late or start of March to be honest. Very good news as I just got mine and pretty much finished the build today. I was also watching a review of The Witcher 3 played at high setting +110 FPS at 1440p. For US$350 this is amazing.

Yeah, Witcher plays very well. Re tested the games in this video and have only found an increase in performance to Warhammer 3

I should have something up tomorrow but basically I retested the games with the new drivers and found no performance increase apart from Warhammer 3. I don't have those games at the moment unfortunately but will consider adding them in future 🙂

In Mexico. 3060ti 500usd, to I've seen it at 400usd (with tax). Arc 770, as far as I know wasn't officially released, stores like new egg hide Arc if region is set to Mexico (so, even going further enough to prevent imports)

It would be good to include 1440p numbers as well. Arc is more competitive at the higher resolutions. Also what driver versions were you using? Intel updated drivers Feb. 1.

I really hope the Intel cards work out in the long run. They are great price to performance deals, but until you can buy one without worrying about programs even working it's a harder sell. The only demanding games I run are VR as well, which is the biggest issue for me right now. Really interested in trying one out, but without more VR confirmation I'm hesitant, especially with prices dropping and who knows when the next gen will come out.

In February they will release a driver with the new found CPU bottleneck removed. There will also be some dx11 improvements as well. Then it should be performing like it’s die size which is slightly larger than a 3070. Imagine that kind of performance. Also I would say some time in the spring we will get a proper control panel as well.

Dam intel got the res scaling down and the rt is better then nividia I think. The ray tracing seemed a lot better to me tbh on the intel one

Would an intel arc 770 be an upgrade from a GTX 1080? Looking to update my pc I play older games at 1440p 144hz and the 1080 starting to seem a bit slack I can get a 1080ti for about 200 or the intel arc Trying to go used because fk gpu manufacturers (aside from intel)

Personally I would go with the a770. I think the 1080ti might still edge it out slightly in raw performance but with the intel card you have av1 encoding if you capture any of your gameplay, ray tracing capabilities, intel's own upscaling tech and a warranty on the card.

The A770 has a ways to go and will never reach full efficiency in DX 9 games. It would be nice if you categorized your games in a section of DX12. Here we can see closer to the full potential of the A770.

In my country the RTX 3070 second hand goes for around USD 280 while the RTX 3080ti goes around USD 480. I was previously using a mining card, so its no big deal getting another. This 2 cards new is a waste of money at the moment as they are already 2 years old tech and does not justify the asking price.

What Intel really needs improve an adaptive sync for people who hate tearing effects. Later make sure to improve Linux extensions like OpenGL and emulators for retro gamers. At the end Intel may be beating NVIDIA because NVIDIA is a big OpenGL extension.

Not a great comparison as the pricing of the 770 puts it competing with the 3060, not the 3060 Ti. So it's a flawed comparison from the start. I can understand if you don't have a lot of cards around, like a 3060, to test. But if you have to stretch it like this video here does to make comparisons, you should probably skip making the video altogether.
