I can just imagine working in the 80s at a Pizza Restaurant, and it’s sunset when I get off at around 6:30 pm...and the skies are all shades of pink and orange, the city lights are all on, and it’s a whole another aesthetic resonating from the environment. That’s what this music conveys. The Midnight is simply the best❤️💪🏻🔥

This song reminds me of when I was eating pizza at the arcade on my birthday as a young child. I have this really sweet memory of my father taking me to the arcade and giving me coins to play as many arcade games as I could. One year, there was a young girl who was playing the cyclone arcade game (where you had to pause the button and time it correctly to win the jackpot of hundreds of tickets). This young girl kept missing the jackpot by a small margin, and she ended up spending all of her coins, failing every time. My father walked up to the machine and put a single coin into the slot-stopping the button right on the direct marker of the jackpot. Hundreds of tickets began to pour out of the machine, with bright colorful flashing lights and loud celebratory music playing, and then he turned to this little girl and gave her all of the tickets. He walked up to me thinking I was going to be very upset for not giving me the winning tickets, and he begin to explain to me how sometimes “people need to be rewarded for their hard work”. That really impacted me, and I still reflect upon that memory even now as an adult. That will always stay with me.
This one works well as a wind-things-down track between two hardcore tracks such as Crystalline and Vampires. Super hopeful that we indeed get a new album where this one is placed between two new masterpieces.

Personally I believe the song shows the building back at its peak. The “for lease” signs are there since if you look at some of their album art, Pizza Zone has been closing most of their locations. To me it’s a reminiscence of the many places I seen around my childhood that are no longer around
