As someone who lived in the 80's, this band's music speaks to my childhood in a very deep way. It reminds me of the days when I'd ride my bike down to a friend's house to play on their NES. Long before AOL or cell phones took over. Simpler times before terrorism or social media. Thank you for helping me relive my childhood one riff at a time.

Wow... I'm not even in a relationship and this is powerful . the way he does the male version then female, genius writing. I'm an observer , I don't relate to people much , so I'm not married, no kids, nor do I have have a girlfriend . I just have my mind heart and eyes.... and I observe quietly. The theme of this song is an all too common situation. I've literally listened to about 5 people in the past couple of years, listened to them confiding in me and sharing their story about this subject, asking advice( weird how people always want my advice, I think it's because I have the ability to just listen ) an all too common situation. Is it realistic to " love" one person your whole life? Here is the thing : expectations kill relationships , and when you get married, or you have a partner , you are expecting that other person to meet the sometimes tall expectation and sometimes unspoken agreement : " I'm gonna love you, and you are going to love me back"... right from the beginning it is set up to fail, to fall apart . Expectations are a big reason why people have affairs. You might not like it morally: but ask yourselves this : is it wrong to love( as a spouse or romantic relationship) more the one person? If so, why? Because if you think about it, there is actually nothing wrong... unless you bring expectation into the picture.
