Born in 1976, grow up in the 80''s. Great time with friends, school, BMX, Commodore 64, ATARI, 80's movies, 80's music. Watch the sun goes down with my parents and sister in the garden, and than go to bed with a happy smile. We played a lot outside, building treehouses, we had are own world! No internet, no selfies, no likes, no social distance. Just pure and simple. I miss that time, every day i grow older....

This is my fave song by The Midnight. Before the pandemic, I was in college. While we weren't teens and it wasn't the 1980's, life felt so innocent and fun. In a way, it did feel like a 1980's teen movie of people from all different walks of life coming together, finding their identity, and having fun. Even though it's just been one year since I left college, I feel so nostalgic and this song sums up all those feelings I had. The stanza "Old friends see each other in a different, different light" and "Is this forever or is this goodbye?" weigh so heavily on me.

Its called "while you were sleeping" everything was being ripped out from under your feet by your corparations and government its happening here now in the UK but it all took place afew decades ago back in the USA. We stood and watched as the USA and the UK invaded Iraq Afganistan and destroyed Syria and Libya and we did nothing here at home to stop it, so what do you expect is happening to us now. Remember, "if you tolerate this now well then your children will be next".

Wow, this just reminds me so much of my high school years. Minus the murder.

Ha! That movie “A River Runs Through It” was filmed at my High School. At least the school scenes. I too, grew up in the 80s and they were the best, at least compared to now. This music is like a soundtrack to the 80s. Great music, great movies, less people, fewer worries, and we didn’t care if someone had a different opinion about something. The internet has destroyed almost everything. There is a huge drawback to being connected all the time.

It's crazy how fast all these actors (and myself; GenX) grew up. It's a nice look back, though
