I'm glad you liked the book! Saturn is a handful haha I have a spray bottle of lemon scent that she runs away from as soon as I start shaking the bottle like I'm threatening to spray it (I don't spray her, I spray various surfaces she isn't supposed to be on)

The Humans by Matt Haig is really worth reading, not sure how much the style is different as I haven't read Midnight Library.

It's like Inception! But I shan't apologize for the fruit smoothies because then you got one too! Idk of any animals that would appreciate the sound of a blender, to be fair. It's the pitch in particular cats don't like. I think my sisters cat Ra didn't like the vacuum, which, fair. You not digging the writing style I feel like could be a topic on its own. Meaning, a story concept may be more enjoyable or less enjoyable depending on who writes it, you know? I can't tell you how many similar story ideas I've read in fanfiction, and the writing style definitely dictated my enjoyment level. Uhhh if that makes sense.

It was one of the best decisions I made. Saturn was very curious about our vacuum at first because it's smaller and not as loud as the one she was used to, but she quickly ran away from it lol Yup I definitely understand and it makes sense. A big part of storytelling is how the story gets delivered. It's also much easier to see the difference with fanfiction where there can be a lot of overlap just because of the nature of it, and I remember noticing that difference back when I was reading more fanfic too

I think the foil thing doesn't work.... I think you get a water bottle spray thing that has stream, and use that to keep the cat from going where you don't want her on or doing things she shouldn't.. *put water in the spray bottle*

I have a spray bottle of lemon scent that I've been using to try and keep her away from things, but rather than being preventative, she jumps up anyway and then runs away as soon as I start shaking the bottle. I don't spray her, just the places she shouldn't be on. But even with that, she still goes back to jumping on the table. We have had sticky tape around the edges of the table for a couple days now and that method seems to be working!

Cats don't like the smell of citrus, which is why I'm using a lemon scent. Her face looks so funny when she smells it haha

I've heard a few people say really great things about Midnight Library. I want to read it so bad. try two sided tape for the kitty! My cats don't care, they just dodged it but people. swear by it I guess. Lol. My cats scratch everything, so I can't help you there.

It's a really quick read! I put tape on the table two days ago and it seems to be working so far! She jumped on it three times the first day, but she hasn't jumped up since. Fingers crossed it sticks! ;P She has started using the scratching post, but she still scratches everything else too haha
