The best reviews on KZbin, hands down. I love that you don't compare guitars to more expensive ones, say things like "for an X-ammount of money it's a quite decent guitar", bitch about some minor details and other things that makes people doubt if it is worth buying something that is cheaper. You just enjoy playing them and make them sing, and it is SO encouraging for people like me to buy guitars like Squier Bullet or Jet JS-300 (only electric guitars I own right now, and i love them). Your philosophy and approach about instruments "if the neck is good and comfortable, you can make a guitar sound good" is a really positive and good advice to all the new players who might stumble upon one of your videos. Thank you Dave for being the person who shares this kind of mentality and opinion about instruments and music in general

Your play makes me feel like 20 years ago, when I heard Gilmour's solo of Comfortably Numb first time or the moment when I first heard Farewell Ballad by Zakk Wylde. In terms of turning guitar playing into emotions - you are a Genius !!!

I’ve been eagerly waiting for this video. One thing I love about your channel (other then your brilliant playing and teaching) is the gear you use is achievable for us mere mortals and it proves the very valid point that the gear doesn’t make the player. The player makes the gear

I did a similar mod to one of my 70s Japanese strats - with the added feature of 3 tappable hot/vintage pickups from Q Pickups. That gave me 24 different sounds with 3 push-pulls. Could have added a toggle switch but thought that might be overkill.

25 inch Scale length it turns out. Funny how you noticed 0.5" difference straight away , & I'm so used to seeing you with a Les Paul style in your hand. I would like someone (richer than me) to think it was a good idea to send you a second camera for your pedal board as I'd like to know roughly how you got some of these sounds particularly in "hear at the end" .

JERRY Blum. Enjoy it , I've got the AZES31 in vermilion and it's a sweet guitar and very versatile. I've had it for almost a year , the only thing I might do in the future is upgrade the pickups. They get a little muddy at high gains , especially if you're playing metal. But for blue's or rockabilly stuff it sounds great , especially with the dyna switch. It allows for so many different tone's! ✌️

Enjoyed the review. Not like I should be looking as I have 19 guitars but you know? I kinda not sure if the Azes 30 or 40 would be the way to go. I'm kinda leaning more to the 30 given I have strats with a Humbucker at the bridge already.
@chrispetersen31512 жыл бұрын
Yeah. 25 inch scale. As opposed to the 25 1/2 on the strats. The Les Paul has a 24 3/4 inch scale so this one is right in between. I played one at GTR CTR and I was shocked by the build quality and the tonal variations and the playability. All for under $300. I'm gonna get one too.

I love Ibanez i still have my trusty Ibanez Gio guitar from 2012 it has a Seymour Duncan quarter pounder in neck position and Dimarzio Humbucker in the bridge and the necks on Ibanez guitars are ridiculously easy to play fast on , compared to a Les Paul or Fender , you can get an action so Low that Buckethead himself would be going even faster on lol

It's amazing how great 'cheap' guitars are these days. I really can't tell the difference between some 6 grand custom shop Fender and a two hundred quid guitar. A lot of the sound is thanks to the amp and pedals though (which applies to all guitars.)

Something about this guitars tone is lacking. I don't know, there was something missing from it. Dave you played it fine but it sounded kind of hollow to me. It did not sing to me. Maybe it's just me. It's like the highs were lacking when you did your bends, it did not soar like your other Strats. I like the way it looks though. Maybe it was the way the effects and the vid came across this time. Very cool they sent you the guitar to demo! I have an old Ibanez that still plays great. They make good guitars overall.
